It feature spring clamp mechanism for easy speaker mounting to the ceiling. The input impedance can be easily changed by changing the tap position of the transformer. - TOA introduces a new range of ceiling-mounted speakers that have been designed and engineered to overcome limiting factors that have been associated with conventional ceiling-mount speakers. Most noticeable has always been the high-frequency roll-off that resulted from limited speaker dispersion characteristics. TOA's new ceiling speaker range provides well-balanced audio reproduction without treble attenuation over an expanded listening area thanks to the extra-wide dispersion characteristics that are part of the overall speaker design. Perceived speaker directionality and beaming tendencies are minimized, resulting in a natural, well-balanced sound over a wide area at all levels. Conventional speakers exhibit high frequency roll-off characteristics as the distance between speaker and listener increases. However TOA believes that an ideal ceiling-mounted speaker's response characteristics should include wide dispersion and non-frequency dependent directionality and this new ceiling speaker series proves that.

The JBL Professional Control 226C/T is a premium in-ceiling professional loudspeaker designed for applications requiring superior quality sound in ceiling-mount applications. The Control 226C/T features a 6.5" Kevlar-reinforced low frequency driver coupled with a 1" exit titanium compression driver for outstanding reliability and performance. The system is complete with a pre-attached back can and is designed for years of maintenance free use.
Easy to install, the Control 226C/T features JBL Professionalʼs proven C-Ring with Tile Rail suspension system. Installation can be accomplished from beneath the ceiling structure for instances when access above the ceiling tile is not possible. Additionally, the removable multi-pin locking connector, with secure screw-down terminals, allows for prewiring the input wires for easy clip-on convenience during installation.
A top quality, low saturation 60 Watt multi-tap transformer comes pre-attached on the Control 226C/T enabling the system to be used on 70V or 100V distributed speaker lines. The system can be used in either 8 ohm (low impedance) or transformer mode by selecting the desired function via the baffle mounted impedance switch.
