Cardioid polar pattern for multiplicity of vocal and instrument applications
The earlier model C 3000 has had a large fan club in the project studio and home recording worlds for years. For the new C 3000 B, AKG designed a special 1-inch large-diaphragm transducer that closely approximates the vibration performance of top-class studio microphones, but can be made at much lower cost.
Due to its surface area and special capsule tuning, the C 3000 B large-diaphragm transducer produces an exceptionally pleasing, smooth sound. Unlike in the C 3000, the switchable 10-dB preattenuation pad immediately follows the transducer in the signal path, thus increasing the C 3000 B\’s SPL capability by a true 10 dB. Loud sound sources are therefore no problem.
An acoustically optimized cardioid polar pattern makes the C 3000 B an excellent choice for both recording and live sound applications where high gain before feedback is paramount.

The RODE NT1-A has become an industry standard; delivering the warmth, extended dynamic range, clarity and high SPL capability usually only featured by some of the most expensive microphones.
Now available as the \'Complete Vocal Recording Solution\' this NT1-A package now includes everything you need to get truly professional vocal recordings - the world\'s quietest studio microphone, a studio grade pop shield and shock mount, a premium 20\' cable, dust cover, an instructional DVD with recording tips, and of course R DE\'s industry leading ten year warranty.
Large 1" (25mm) capsule with gold plated diaphragm
Cardioid polar pattern
Self noise of only 5dB (A)
Ultra low noise, transformerless surface mount circuitry
NT2-A - ?The Legend Continues? Multi Pattern 1? Condenser Microphone.
The new NT2-A carries on the tradition forged by the now legendary R?DE NT2.
A professional large capsule (1?) studio microphone incorporating three-position
pick-up patterns, pad and high pass filter switches conveniently located on the
mic body.
At the heart of the NT2-A is the Australian designed and manufactured HF1 dual
diaphragm capsule. The frequency and transient response of this new transducer
has been voiced to complement today?s modern recording techniques, and yet still
evoke the silky smooth character of the legendary microphones of the 50?s and 60?s.
These features provide the flexibility and superlative audio characteristics that make
the NT2-A one of the most versatile condenser mics available.
The NT2-A?s variable controls allow switching between Omni, Figure 8, and Cardioid
polar patterns. The three position high-pass filter provides a flat response or an 80Hz
and 40Hz high pass filter to be selected. Finally the microphones Pad can be switched
between 0 dB, -5dB and -10dB. The NT2-A comes in a soft pouch with an M2 stand mount.
SPECIFICATIONS:
Features:
The Australian designed and manufactured HF1 1? edge terminated, gold sputtered, dual
5 um diaphragm capsule. 3-position variable polar pattern: Omni, Cardioid & Figure 8; all
controlled on the mic. 3-position variable high-pass filter: Flat, 80 Hz or 40 Hz. 3-position
variable pad: 0 dB, -5 dB or -10 dB. Ultra low noise, transformerless SMT circuitry. Wide
dynamic range. High strength heat-treated steel mesh head. Durable satin nickel finish.
Internal capsule shock mounting. Supplied complete with soft pouch and clip. Designed
and manufactured in Sydney, Australia.
Operation power:
The NT2-A is designed to operate from phantom power to the P48 standard. The NT2-A will
operate between 44V and 52V applied with positive polarity to pin 2 and pin 3 of the output
XLR connector.
Operation output impedance:
The NT2-A will operate satisfactorily into a load impedance as low as 1 kΩ. If a load below this
is used, the output signal level will be reduced. The NT2-A output is balanced between pin 2 (hot)
and pin 3 (cold). Pin 1 is ground.
