It provides the low end with the right amount of pressure, as known from the famous RCA tubes. It has clear, transparent but unobstrusive highs and exactly the right bite to provide you with all those classic 6L6 sounds from big warm cleans to modern hard rock sounds.
This TAD 6L6GC-STR combines the famous reliability of the american made Philips/Sylvania STR series (also known as MESA 6L6GC-STR415) with the black-plate system of the highly regarded vintage RCA 6L6GC tubes. We joined best of both worlds! Silky top end, combined with deep bass response and lots of headroom make this tube a living classic. Our choice for lively clean sounds and powerful broadband multichannel amps.

Some claim the 6L6EH has been "Modeled after the vintage RCA 6L6GC "blackplate" and the 6L6EH features large plate dimensions".
To see what a real blackplate looks like see the picture on the right showing a RCA and a TAD blackplate small bottle 6L6.
Both are real black plate constructions and great for vintage guitar amps for pleasing smooth and fine complex tone structure. Best for any classic Fender Amplifier.
The 6L6EH is a very good choice for more modern hard rocking guitar sounds and recommened for this.

| GROOVE TUBES GT 12AT7 PREAMP TUBE
The Groove Tubes GT-12AT7 preamp tube is manufactured to the highest quality JAN spec. NOS, made in Russia for extremely long life.
Used widely in most U.S.-made amps and, in particular, Fender amps. Fender amps with reverb use 2 - 12AT7s -- one for the reverb drive stage, and one as a phase inverter to drive the push/pull output stage. The makeup of the 12AT7 is very similar to the 12AX7 and it can be substituted for a 12AX7 in a pinch. Some players prefer the 12AT7 in the driver stage of a Marshall for a cleaner, brighter tone. (The driver or phase inverter is the 12AX7 located nearest the power tubes.) The 12AT7 is rarely used in a tone-generating stage, but rather in function stages, so the Groove Tubes GT-12AT7 is selected for durability.
Country of origin: Russia | These are the gold pin version of the standard ECC83. These tubes are immediately discerni-ble from other 12AX7. They have a construction that is similar to a frame-grid tube - similar to the Telefunken ECC803s. This construction makes them very rugged and reliable. This is one of the best new 12AX7 for any guitar amp. It is very musical - rich with great harmonics. An excellent tube in all Marshall amps in the three preamp positions.
Factory selected tubes with gold pins. These tubes provide high gain without the usual noise and microphonic problems you would expect. This is great sound and value for your money.
ECC83S is 12AX7 high gain pre-amplifying double triode. Thanks to its design it also peforms with very low noise and microphonics. Harmonically rich, with a detailed low end and a warm high end.
