Industry Standard Real-time MIDI Controller for the Musician
With a newly designed key mechanism ― taken from Roland's 30 years of synthesizer development ― players can control a wide dynamic range at will. The re-designed white & black key assemblies have a rounded shape for better reaction to the player’s touch and more comfortable glissando, plus changes have been made to reduce mechanical noise and eliminate vertical shake on the key strokes. In conjunction with this, the newly developed pitch bend and modulation design offers you easier and more expressive control. All these features add up to a keyboard that even the most discerning player can appreciate.

PC-160A: MIDI Keyboard Controller
Features Minor size, major convenience... Have you ever wished your keyboard could shrink, so you could carry it with you on the plane, in your car, or along with your laptop computer? Have you ever wished it was in arm's reach of your desktop computer, on your desk, where you need it? Countless times already these problems have been answered with the Roland PC-160. Weighing less than 3 lbs. and measuring under two feet in length, the PC-160 qualifies as the most powerful compact, portable keyboard ever. With 32 full-size velocity-sensitive keys, pitchbend, modulation and an assignable slider you have at your fingertips more control than is available in many full-length controllers. So next time you get up and walk across the room to play that string section, or wish you could take your keyboard on the plane, think to yourself, "I need a PC-160." Steinberg Cubasis AV for Mac/Win included. |
Forty-nine full-size, expressive, touch-sensitive keys are accurate enough to capture the most subtle musical performance, but rugged enough to withstand the most heavy-handed playing styles. Pitch-bend and modulation controls give you the ability to add subtle nuances in real-time. The assignable Data slider can become any available MIDI controller from volume, to reverb, to pan position. Add a DP-series pedal, and you have complete control over the sound's sustain/hold. Its extended battery operation and ultra-light weight make the PC-180 a perfect choice for a mid-sized controller for the traveling musician. If you need full control and expression from your controller in a compact and affordable keyboard design, look no further than the Roland PC-180.

Dual Oscillator / X-Mod Design
Offering two oscillators, the monotron DUO adds an extra dimension, delivering an even more extreme sound. Tune the oscillators in unison for a rich, thick, analog tone. Tune them in intervals for classic soloing sounds and generating new effects. The X-MOD (cross modulation) circuit taken from Korg's classic Mono/Poly can introduce a mild or razor-sharp edge to the overall sound; everything from a rich vibrato to extreme metallic sounds reminiscent of an FM synth.
Enhanced Ribbon Controller Keyboard
The monotron DUO's ribbon controller keyboard now features the familiar Scale function used on the KAOSSILATOR. You can use this button to select one of four scales: Chromatic, Major, Minor, or Off. Choose the Chromatic scale to play precise pitches as on a piano, or choose Major or Minor to generate musically coherent phrases by simply sliding your finger around on the keyboard.
