The selectable omnidirectional, cardioid, and figure-eight pickup patterns offer ultimate versatility needed to professionally record vocals and acoustic instruments. The C-3 holds a pressure-gradient transducer with a shock-mounted dual-diaphragm capsule. Its ultra-high sound resolution and flat frequency response rival those of microphones with much higher price tags. It also includes an LED that indicates phantom power operation and a gold-plated XLR output connector to ensure highest signal integrity. The C-3 comes with extensive accessories such as swivel stand and transport case.

Aesthetically the compact body features an elegant Metallic Cabernet Wine-Red finish, accented with polished nickel trim and capsule assembly. This Transformerless CLASS A FET Microphone w/ 32mm gold sputtered thin Mylar capsule is designed with circuitry that will yield pleasing professional results comparable to much more expensive designs. It also features -10 dB pad & 80 Hz LF roll off switches for varied recording situations.
The included Custom Retro Shockmount is superb in allowing a precise positioning of the mic while inhibiting the transfer of unwanted vibrations up into the mic. This isolation allows for superior professional results.
