Power and Options...
The Apogee X-Series FireWire Card gives you the power and convenience of a
direct connection to any FireWire equipped computer. The X-FireWire Card uses
an expansion slot in the ROSETTA 800 to give users of Logic, Nuendo and other
popular software the option of amazing sounding Apogee conversion. Using Apple?s
Core Audio FireWire driver for Macintosh and ASIO drivers for Windows, your
hardware options for your DAW are greatly expanded.
eXpandability...
The two ports on the Apogee X-FireWire Card allow you to daisy-chain additional
devices to create an entire system. By extending the bus, the X-FireWire card
allows for daisy-chaining of multiple Apogee systems or compatible peripherals,
and permits the use of multiple FireWire devices by computers with only one port.
The card also passes power through the FireWire ports to allow the powering of
additional devices. (Note: This feature is available for Windows systems only at this time).
Get Connected
With and X-FireWire card installed in an AD-16X, DA-16X, Rosetta 200 or Rosetta 800
you have the power of a professional FireWire connection to your favorite DAW: Logic 7,
Nuendo, Cubase, Cakewalk, Live or virtually any native audio production software.
Low Latency with FireMix
FireMix is a mixer application that allows control and creation of customizable sub-mixes
for low latency performance in the native environment. FireMix features accurate input and
output metering, 16bit fader control, and eight 48bit mix busses with enough DSP headroom
to insure that there are no compromises to the audio quality. FireMix also has customizable
pan control and key modifier user preferences to allow FireMix to operate in the same manner
as your favorite audio application. With FireMix, you will get low latency monitoring, have the
ability to save and recall all of your mixes, group and ungroup master faders all with little to no
impact on your CPU performance.
Features:
* 2, S400 FireWire connectors, allowing convenient chaining of multiple units
* Compatible with Apple's OS X built-in FireWire Core Audio driver
* Supplied with Windows XP WDM/ASIO driver
* Up to 8x8 24bit at 88.2/96k
* Up to 4x4 24-bit channels at 176.4/192KHz
* Fully compliant and compatible with 61883-6 and other relevant 1394 IEEE
and AES specifications
* Allows low-jitter synchronization to a FireWire audio network and can provide
a master clock source for a FireWire audio network
