The ancestor of the system F109 was timeless recognition for its excellent sonic performance and high quality finish of each individual device, the aluminum front panel reflect the internal quality.

This classic system consists of Stereo Receiver and CD-Player cooperating fully digitally. Any conversion of the digital signal is not required, since the output stages are also digital and the signal source can be maintained as much as possible "intact“. Everything can be controlled with the new remote control. The SC-F109 Speaker System is an ideal addition to the main devices, providing resources but detailed sound.

The SR-8080BP is built to the same high construction and performance standards as Definitiveʼs left and right front speakers and includes features like high-definition second generation BDSS bass/midrange drivers, wide-dispersion pure aluminum dome tweeters, complex Linkwitz-Riley crossover networks and solid cabinets. It can be mounted to a wall with the integrated keyhole plate or it can be placed atop a shelf or after-market stand to deliver the ultimate in surround sound realism.

The Bipolar Advantage
Definitive's SR-8080BP is a true bipolar system containing two complete full-range speaker systems, one on each side of the cabinet. Bipolar technology is superior for surround speakers because it combines the performance advantages of direct radiating (imaging, focus, localization, and specificity) and dipolar speakers (spacious, all-enveloping ambience) into one ideal system which is perfect for all multi-channel formats. Bipolar Surrounds are Easy to Use
Definitive's bipolar surrounds are designed for easy and unobtrusive placement in your room. Easy-to-use mounting plates are included for wall mounting. Definitive's BP surround speakers may be located on the sides or rear of the room (or both as in 6.1 and 7.1 channel installations) with excellent results.

Patented Technology Delivers High Definition and Wide Dispersion
Dispersing the surround channel sound evenly over a broad area of the room is vital for creating the enveloping youʼre-in-the-action experience movie directors intended you to experience. Weʼve engineered the SR models with our latest generation ultra-high definition midrange drivers that set new standards for wide dispersion and clean, accurate reproduction.

The drivers used in the SR-8080BP are 4-1/2" second generation BDSS drivers. BDSS is Definitiveʼs patented Balanced Double Surround System technology that supports the speaker cone at both the inner and outer edges allowing longer, more linear excursion for greater clarity and finely textured inner detail. A new patent pending Linear Response Waveguide™ smoothes off-axis frequency response and disperses sound over a wider area for crystal clear intelligibility and life-like envelopment for every listener in the room. The tweeters are pure aluminum domes, which has been heat-treated to relax the crystal structure and then coated with a ceramic to produce extended highs that reveal nuance and shimmer without a trace of edginess.
