As an active loudspeaker, it contains drivers, power amplifiers, active crossover filters and protection circuitry. This integrated design makes installations easier and more efficient as separate power amplifiers are not needed.
The MDETM (Minimum Diffraction EnclosureTM) loudspeaker enclosure is made of die-cast aluminium and shaped to reduce edge diffraction.
Combined with the advanced Directivity Control WaveguideTM (DCWTM), this design provides excellent frequency balance in difficult acoustic environments.
The 4040A is equipped with practical tone controls for calibrating the loudspeakers according to their environment.
Automatic protection circuits for amplifiers and loudspeaker drivers combined with the rugged metal enclosure ensure reliability for years to come.
The versatile mounting features include integrated rear support points for wall and floor stands plus a further M10 thread for mounting on the enclosure base.

SDQ5PIR is a stereo loudspeaker set with 1 active and 1 passive loudspeaker that stands for reliability, affordability, dynamic music and detailed voice reproduction! The active stereo amplifier loudspeaker has a low distortion high efficiency 5.25” woofer and one output is fed to the second linkable passive loudspeaker.
The SDQ5PIR set can be controlled from the included infrared remote control, via serial commands or via the Apart wall control panels (ACP, ACPL or ACPR) which allow control of power and volume. ACPL and ACPR also allow the addition of external audio inputs.
