Tube Fender Groove Tubes GT 12AX7-R Slightly lower gain, quicker compression than GT 12AX7-R. Great for most Fenders, may not be well suited for high gain Fender type amps (such as Boogie). | GROOVE TUBES GT 12AT7 PREAMP TUBE The Groove Tubes GT-12AT7 preamp tube is manufactured to the highest quality JAN spec. NOS, made in Russia for extremely long life. Used widely in most U.S.-made amps and, in particular, Fender amps. Fender amps with reverb use 2 - 12AT7s -- one for the reverb drive stage, and one as a phase inverter to drive the push/pull output stage. The makeup of the 12AT7 is very similar to the 12AX7 and it can be substituted for a 12AX7 in a pinch. Some players prefer the 12AT7 in the driver stage of a Marshall for a cleaner, brighter tone. (The driver or phase inverter is the 12AX7 located nearest the power tubes.) The 12AT7 is rarely used in a tone-generating stage, but rather in function stages, so the Groove Tubes GT-12AT7 is selected for durability. Country of origin: Russia | These are the gold pin version of the standard ECC83. These tubes are immediately discerni-ble from other 12AX7. They have a construction that is similar to a frame-grid tube - similar to the Telefunken ECC803s. This construction makes them very rugged and reliable. This is one of the best new 12AX7 for any guitar amp. It is very musical - rich with great harmonics. An excellent tube in all Marshall amps in the three preamp positions. Factory selected tubes with gold pins. These tubes provide high gain without the usual noise and microphonic problems you would expect. This is great sound and value for your money. ECC83S is 12AX7 high gain pre-amplifying double triode. Thanks to its design it also peforms with very low noise and microphonics. Harmonically rich, with a detailed low end and a warm high end. 12AX7/ECC83/7025 / 9Pin Socket Noval | The JJ ECC81 / 12AT7 tube is a low noise and low microphonic preamp tube. A good choice for phase inverters and reverb circuits calling for 12AT7 tubes.

Selected ECC83 for the big & warm clean sounds (great for HiFi too!) and mellow top-end when pushed to overdrive. Our recommendation if you want to emphasize punchy mids. Especially great when pushed into a fat overdrive.

We call the tubes SELECTED which have passed above tests and thus qualify as reliable all-round tubes of their type.Typically this is around 30-60% from a batch that receives the SELECTED label from TAD.
For applications in particularly sensitive functions such as V1 or input stage with combo amps, V1 in high-gain amps, tube microphones and phono preamps, we recommend using the respective HIGHGRADE selection
Matching and Selecting Options for Preamp Tubes
Matching in Pairs for preamp tubes means that two tubes show identical gain, hence, four characteristically identical systems.
This matching method includes our Balance-Selection. We highly recommend this matching method for hi-fi systems.
TAD Premium Selected/Highgrade tubes are guaranteed for a period of 6 months (according to terms of warranties)
for the quality criteria mentioned above.
| 5751 can be used in most 12AX7 circuits to achieve more headroom.
It has a lower gain about 70% than the standard 12AX7. Good to rope the gain of a high gain amplifier.
