HDSPe RayDAT is a multi-channel, multi-format and multi-task tool in stunning professional quality, the ideal solution from recording up to the final mastering. For the first time, even SPDIF (phono) and AES/EBU (XLR) are simultaneously operational due to separated hardware and record/playback devices. RayDAT offers no less than 4 x ADAT optical I/O, SPDIF I/O and AES/EBU I/O. That’s a whopping 36 channels of inputs and outputs. On top, there are 2 MIDI I/Os and TotalMix, RME’s unsurpassed DSP-based real-time mixer/router, with hardware-calculated level metering and complete MIDI remote capability. HDSPe RayDAT also supports the optional TCO for synchronization to timecode (LTC/video).

Internal ADAT inputs and outputs allow to add up to two TDIF ports directly inside the computer via RME’s optional expansion boards.

HDSPe RayDAT is the newly developed PCI Express version of the HDSP 9652. A genuine PCI Express core consequently takes full advantage of the new format, achieving significant performance gains in multitrack audio. Thanks to RME’s secure flash update technology, firmware improvements, adjustments, and bugfixes can be installed easily at any time.

Settings

Just click on the hammer symbol in the systray of the taskbar and the settings dialog of the HDSPe RayDAT comes up. The clear structured, easy to understand window plus the unique informative status windows for input signal, clock mode, sample rate and time code make your work with the card to a real pleasure. With a simple mouse click you gain access to the full power of your card.

When working with several digital sources it is not only necessary that these are all properly locked, they also have to be totally synchronized. Else drop outs and crackling occurs. RME’s exclusive SyncCheck     © checks all input signals. In clock mode Master the synchronous operation to the internal clock is checked. This outstanding and unique technology helps to find errors immediately. The actual state of each input is displayed in the settings dialog.

RME’s unique SyncCheck and AutoSync technology has evolved into the new Intelligent Clock Control (ICC)      of the HDSPe system. HDSPe RayDAT measures and displayes the frequency of all clock sources. Even word clock! Based on validity and current sample rate the system then decides which clock source should be used – fully automated and performed in hardware. With this the HDSPe system offers the most easiest handling of the present clocks, although having a lot digital inputs, plus the most advanced support when configuring the clock setup.

Yamaha GO46 FireWire Interface

The GO46 FireWire interface from Yamaha provides a means to stream
high-quality 24-bit/192kHz digital audio and MIDI into a computer. Connect
it to a laptop, and you've got a rugged and portable interface that can go
anywhere you go, hence the name "GO46." This box is the ideal interface
for great-sounding audio on the "GO."

Yamaha GO46 FireWire Audio/MIDI Interface At a Glance
Premium Mic Pres and Inputs
FireWire Connectivity
Flexible Connectivity Including S/PDIF, Insert Points, and MIDI

Premium Mic Pres and Inputs
The GO46 features combo mic/line terminals (for both XLR and phone jack)
on the front panel. Phantom power is also available and independently
switchable for each input channel. In other words, you can use a condenser
microphone on channel 1 with phantom power switched on to capture the
delicate sounds of a vocal while simultaneously recording an electric/acoustic
guitar plugged into channel 2. These combo inputs are captured at up to 24-bit/
192kHz resolution. This pro-level quality makes the GO46 perfect for any type
of recording, and allows you to capture the full details and nuances of the
original source - from the breathiness of a vocal to the delicate finger slides of
an acoustic guitar performance.

FireWire Connectivity
The FireWire equipped GO46 not only offers the convenience of one plug
connection to a computer, but the GO46 can be powered via bus power
from the FireWire port. Connect the GO46 to the FireWire terminal of a
laptop and you've got and extremely powerful and portable recording studio
that will fit in a backpack. This is also great for using the GO46 in places
where electrical outlets can be scarce, like local clubs.

Flexible Connectivity Including S/PDIF, Insert Points, and MIDI
In order to maximize the flexibility of the GO46, Yamaha included virtually
any kind of connection you might need on location recording gigs. Two
insert points allow for connection to outboard gear like compressors or EQs.
MIDI in/out allows for connection of MIDI sound modules or instruments.
S/PDIF jacks are great for inputting digital signal from another interface or
throughputting the GO46 signal to a digital mixer, separate digital recorder,
or any other digital device.

Yamaha GO46 Features:
FireWire (IEEE1394)
Durable aluminum die cast body
2 x Premium Quality Mic pre amps with XLR/Combo connectors
Phantom Power ( +48V ) switch for each connector
2 x Insert connectors for analog inputs
1 MIDI In/ 1 MIDI Out
S/P DIF In/Out up to 24 bit/96 kHz
24 Bit/192 kHz compatible
Included Cubase LE, HALion SE, and Groove Agent SE

he U46XL is a powerful multi-purpose 4-in 6-out multi-channel audio interface designed for various recording applications at home or on the road. The U46XL is the successor of to ESI Audio's famous U46DJ interface.

As its predecessor, it provides 2 stereo line inputs, a microphone input with +48V phantom power and a headphone output. A main difference is the improved analog circuitry improving the audio quality as well as the professional microphone preamplifier with XLR input. This makes the U46XL the perfect solution to record signals from dynamic or condenser microphones on the road or in your studio.

The unit also features an instrument input (Hi-Z), typically to connect a guitar directly to it. Two totally separate stereo line input on the backside provide 4 simultaneously usable input channels at one time. There are also 6 independent individual outputs on the backside, perfect for multi-channel playback applications like to provide individual outputs for software synthesizers, to provide independent playback channels for DJ software or to provide surround playback capability via a 5.1 setup. A separate mix output with professional TRS outputs could be used to connect U46XL to professional stereo studio monitors.

A cool feature is the DirectWIRE support in the driver, allowing you to record signals from one application to another internally. U46XL works with this driver based on our EWDM technology under Windows XP and Windows Vista/7, however U46XL is also Mac OS X compatible.

U46XL ships with Cubase LE 4 from Steinberg for Mac and PC to start recording on a professional level right out of the box.
