Dedicated guitar and bass tuner with large LCD for easy viewing
The GA-40 is a dedicated, easy-to-operate guitar/bass tuner with automatic pitch detection. In Guitar mode it supports seven-string guitars (7B through 1E), and in Bass mode it supports six-string basses (Low-B and Hi-C). With the precision you expect from KORG, the GA-40 indicates the pitch quickly and accurately. The LCD needle-style display provides both the accuracy of an LCD as well as the easy viewing of a needle indicator, and the display has been enlarged for even better visibility. You can also use the built-in high-sensitivity microphone to tune an acoustic guitar.

Sound Out function produces a reference tone from the internal speaker
In addition to letting you tune visually using the meter, the GA-40 provides a Sound Out function that plays a reference tone through the internal speaker, letting you tune by ear. Each time you press the Sound switch, the tone will cycle through 7B→6E→5A→4D→3G→2B→1E in Guitar mode, or through LB→4E→3A→2D→1G→HC in Bass mode.

Quinta Flat Tuning mode
To support the dropped tunings used in heavy metal styles to produce a powerfully massive sound, the GA-40 provides a Quinta Flat Tuning mode that lets you detect dropped tunings of one through five semitones. This lets you tune super-long scale guitars that extend below the pitch range of conventional guitars.

Conveniently thin and compact
The GA-40 gives you convenient guitar and bass tuning functionality in a pocket-sized package, making it easy to tune whether you’re on stage or in the studio. An output jack (bypass) has been added, making it easy to check the tuning even while you’re performing.
The stand on the back lets you place the tuner on any surface.

Auto Power Off function
The Auto Power Off function automatically turns the power off after the unit has been left on for twenty minutes, preventing the batteries from running down needlessly.

Approximately 85 hours of continuous use
The GA-40 is designed for long battery life, and allows approximately 85 hours of continuous use (continuous A4 input, Meter mode, zinc-carbon batteries).

  • Tough aluminum die cast body for superb durability
A new strobe tuner with extreme precision and advanced functionality for the pro guitarist and bassist The pitchblack+ is a high-end, pro-quality pedal tuner boasting ultra-high tuning accuracy within a range of +/-0.1 cents. Housed in a sleek black aluminum die cast body, this pedal tuner packs a versatile range of tuning modes such as chromatic, standard (guitar/bass), open D, open E, open G, open A, and DADGAD, and also lets you create up to five custom tuning programs of your own with any temperament you specify. This is ideal for accommodating special tunings such as ethnic instruments and stretched tuning. The pitchblack+ also supports tuning for seven-string guitars and six-string basses. In addition, you can also use the flat tuning mode to tune your instrument as many as seven semitones below standard pitch. With a broad tuning range of E0 (20.60 Hz) to C8 (4186 Hz) and calibration that's adjustable in a range of 436--445 Hz, you'll be able to tune with an unprecedented degree of accuracy. The pitchblack+ also offers a new level of high-precision tuning demanded by professional guitar and bass players for the recording studio or in live performance. Large surface-illuminated LED display ensures easy tuning The Korg pitchblack+ features a large 13-segment LED meter. In conjunction with the tuning guides located below the meter that indicate whether your instrument is sharp or flat, the smooth-moving LEDs provide highly visible confirmation for accurate tuning at any viewing angle. The note name, tuning mode, and calibration are shown by large, highly-readable displays in green and red, and the tuner on/off status is shown by a red LED, ensuring that you'll see everything you need even if you're on a dimly-lit stage. You can choose between two types of display modes: Single mode and Double mode. In Single mode, you can choose between Meter mode, Full Strobe mode, Half Strobe mode, or Mirror mode. In Double mode, you can choose from two newly developed modes; "Focus mode 1" and "Focus mode 2" which offer even greater precision with excellent visibility. Dual input jacks allow two instruments to be connected. True Bypass ensures that the input signal is unaffected. As a professional pedal tuner, the Korg pitchblack+ provides A and B input jacks to which you can connect two different guitars or basses, and individually specify a separate calibration, tuning mode, flat tuning, and display mode for each guitar/bass (input). If only a single instrument is connected, you can specify two different tuning settings and switch between them by pressing the "INPUT SELECT" foot switch. This feature supports situations such as when you're playing more than one guitar/bass in a live situation, or for sophisticated musical needs such as using different tunings with a single guitar for multiple songs. The sound is muted when tuning is active, and when the pedal tuner is off, the True Bypass feature ensures that the input signal from your instrument is not colored in any way whatsoever. With functionality such as this, the pitchblack+ can provide high-precision tuning capability while being integrated into your guitar or bass pedalboard and amp setup. Fits into your pedalboard, and DC output powers other pedals The pitchblack+ works great with your current pedalboard system. It provides a DC OUT jack that can supply power to other effect pedals when the optional AC adaptor is used. By connecting the included DC cable, you can supply up to 200 mA of power to multiple effect pedals that require a 9V supply, simplifying the power connections in your effect board. For nearly a decade, the Korg GA-30 Guitar and Bass Tuner has stood among the top-selling tuners on the planet. Now meet the GA-1, offering the same excellent features with a new, enhanced design – all at the same great price!

Ultra-compact LCD Needle-Style Dedicated Guitar and Bass Tuner
High accuracy and superb functionality have made Korg tuners the worldwide favorite. And now, the new GA-1 joins the best-selling GA series of tuners. With even more features, like a pitch reference tone and quinta-flat tuning, the GA-1 tuner packs basic functionality and convenient tuning functions into ultra-compact bodies.

Features:
• Ultra-compact design.
• High-precision LCD needle-type meter for stable tuning.
• Quinta Flat Tuning mode lets you tune 1--5 semitones flat
• Supports 7-string guitar tunings.
• Sound Out can produce a reference tone from the internal speaker.
• Auto Power Off function conserves battery life.
• Approximately 100 hours of continuous use.

An Easy-to-Use Dedicated Guitar and Bass Tuner
This dedicated guitar/bass tuner lets you select either Guitar mode or Bass mode for truly easy operation with automatically detected pitch. The wide detection range supports 7-string guitar (7B through 1E) in Guitar mode, and 6-string bass (Low-B, Hi-C) in Bass mode. A high-sensitivity mic is built-in, allowing easy and accurate tuning of acoustic guitars.

Ultra-compact Body with a "Tilt Slit“
Although the GA-1 is small, thin, and light, donʼt let its pocket-sized body fool you. The GA-1 can accurately tune any guitar or bass. From studio to stage, tuning is easy and convenient. The back of the unit includes a unique arc-shaped "tilt slit" that lets you insert a plastic card for use as a handy stand.

High-Precision LCD Meter
The meter section uses a LCD needle, combining the accuracy of an LCD with the easy visibility of a needle, and providing a stable display. Additional visual feedback is provided by LEDs that indicate pitch deviation.

Sound Out -- Internal Speaker Provides a Reference Pitch
In addition to visual tuning via meter, the GA-1 can play reference pitches from its internal speaker (Sound Out) for tuning by ear. Each press of the Sound switch will cycle the output sound through 7B->6E->5A->4D->3G->2B->1E in Guitar mode, or LB->4E->3A->2D->1G->HC in Bass mode.

Quinta Flat Tuning mode
The GA-1ʼs Quinta Flat Tuning mode supports the lowered tunings used in heavy metal styles to give more weight to the sound. Most dedicated guitar tuners support a maximum of only four semitones below standard pitch, but the GA-1 gives you five steps of flatted tuning, extending as far as five semitones below standard pitch, and supporting even super-long scale guitars that are five frets longer than conventional guitars.

Auto Power Off Function
If you leave the unit powered-on for 20 minutes without performing any operation, the Auto Power Off function will turn the power off automatically, avoiding unnecessary battery consumption.

Approximately 100 hours of continuous use
Low-power consumption design allows an amazing 100 hours (approximate) of continuous battery life (A4 continuous input, Meter mode, zinc-carbon batteries).

* Even if the pitch is within the detection range, detection may not be possible for instrumental sounds that contain a large number of overtones or have a rapid decay.

Korg tuners and metronomes purchased from a Korg UK authorized dealer now have a three year warranty.
