Thanks to the built-in phono equalizer the TT5005 is an easy to set-up turntable that can work with any amplifier or receiver – even it doesnʼt have a dedicated phono input. Itʼs also effortless to operate, thanks to the start-stop system that automatically places and replaces the tone-arm, and which also helps ensure you do not accidentally scratch the vinyl. Its rigid die-cast aluminum platter produces uniform inertial mass for perfectly stable and consistent rotation. In addition, the TT5005 comes with an MM cartridge so that you can begin to enjoy your analogue record collection as soon as you connect the TT5005 to your home hi-fi system.

A quiet-running synchronous motor with silicone belt is driving a low-resonance platter made from MDF. A new motor control with DC power supply minimzes unwanted vibration effectively. The main platter bearing consists of stainless steelspindle and bronze bushing with Teflon bottom to seccure low friction.  

The main chassis is made from lightweight, but very stiff particle board. Essential II utilises a straight 8,6" aluminium tonearm design made from a single piece of aluminium with sapphire bearings, which offers a far better „plug & play" solution, than itʽs predecessor. Special feet effectively decouples the turntable from the surface.

Pro-Ject has decided to go after the cheap plastic turntable market with an high quality alternative that comes complete with an Ortofon cartridge. The new Elemental Phono USB table is a real "plug'n'play" all the way. No adjustment of counterweight and antiskating is needed, because both are pre-adjusted. This new straight tonearm is optimised for Ortofon OM cartridge series. All the buyer needs to do is remove it from the box, remove bearing guard, locate the belt around the platter, remove stylus guard and plug it into hifi system and computer.

The only plastic here is the stylus guard!
