The Marshall MG102FX guitar combo amplifier gives you four storable channels of fantastic Marshall tone and plenty of power for the stage! The 100-watt MG102FX includes two 12" speakers, four switchable channels, and a 3-band EQ. It also features a 2-button footswitch, power amp damping, a switchable effects loop, and a line in for music players. This amp is excellent at emulating the response and sound of a tube amp, and it works great for live and studio applications alike. Speaker-emulating headphone and line outputs are built right into the MG102FX.

Simple panel layout for easy tweaks
The new MG series amps mark Marshall's return to a simple, tried-and-true panel layout that's amazingly easy to use. Gain, followed by a three-band EQ (two-band Contour Control on the MG10), Volume and Master Volume are laid out for quick access. Push-button channel switching allows smooth, uninterrupted transitions. Combining true analog tone circuitry and Marshall's proprietary FDD (Frequency Dependent Damping) technology, these amps provide that authentic Marshall sound and feel. This damping technology emulates the dynamic interaction between an amp and its speaker, giving you feel and tone characteristics you'd normally only find in far more expensive tube amps. The combination line out/headphone out features speaker cabinet emulation, giving you full Marshall sound when recording or practicing through headphones. A line input allows you to play along with MP3 and CD players.
Take advantage of incredible effects
This amp includes great sounding reverb and digital effects (Chorus, Phaser, Flanger, Delay). The delay time can be manually set using the front panel Tap button. Settings for each channel can be customized and saved for instant recall. In addition, the MG50FX, MG101FX, MG102FX, and MG100HFX feature a switchable effects loop for adding a favorite external effect to the sound. These models also include a 2-button footswitch as standard equipment.

Jim Marshall didn't start out building great amps. In fact, his entry into the amp world came about in part because the drummers that visited his music shop for equipment and lessons often brought along their guitar players. Marshall 1974X 18W Handwired Combo Guitar Amplifier
The 1974X is an authentic re-issue of the fabled model 1974 combo of the late sixties (1966-1968). Just like the original, it boasts a point-to-point, handwired, tagboard circuit housed in an aluminium chassis, plus a valve-driven tremolo circuit. At the very heart of its simple, but effective, two channel design can be found six valves: three ECC83s in the preamp, an EZ81 rectifier and a pair of cathode biased EL84s in the power stage. As the output and mains transformers are vital components in any amplifier as they influence performance, sound and feel, Marshall worked extremely closely with their associates at Dagnall in order to duplicate the original, "off-the-shelf" transformers in all areas.
Another major contributing factor to the distinctive sound of vintage 1974 combos is the way the original 20 Watt, ceramic magnet, Celestion Greenback T1221 loudspeaker's tone has softened with age.
In order to recreate the gorgeously smooth tones of a 35-year-old vintage Greenback, Celestion not only revisited the 1967 recipe for the speaker, they also came up with a proprietary way of "aging" the speakers so they sound and feel like the originals made in the late '60s! The same exact, exclusive "aged" T1221 Greenback speaker is also found in the 1974CX, a 1x12" extension cabinet for the 1974X.
