With one simple plug-and-play FireWire connection, the V4HD turns your Mac or PC desktop or laptop computer into a powerful HD/SD video production workstation equipped with all the video and audio I/O you need.

Connect all your gear, from SD camcorders and monitors to today’s latest professional HD cameras, video decks, LCD reference monitors and plasmas – all at the same time, with no cable swapping. Choose your input source, then log and capture HD or SD clips directly into Final Cut Pro or Premiere Pro.

In Final Cut Pro, the V4HD supports full-raster 1920×1080 HD capture and playback using Apple’s ProRes 422 codec in both standard and HQ modes. The V4HD is the ideal all-in-one video capture solution for any ProRes workflow.

In both Final Cut Pro and Premiere Pro, the V4HD provides hardware-accelerated capture and playback of DVCProHD, DVCPro50 and DVCPro25 video streams, plus 8- and 10-bit uncompressed SD — all with convenient plug-and-play FireWire connectivity and CPU-efficient intra-frame editing.

The V4HD is ideal for a DVCProHD/P2 workflow because you can immediately play back P2 clips (either imported or ingested) with no transcoding necessary. Conversely, you can connect any SD or HD video source such as an HDV camera, legacy video deck or DVD player and then capture it directly as a DVCProHD clip in Final Cut or Premiere. Many cameras now feed their uncompressed SDI or component output directly from the camera’s optics and imager, before compression, for the best-possible picture quality during capture with the V4HD. Need to bring SD material into your HD project? The V4HD even provides hardware-accelerated SD-to-HD up conversion for capturing SD sources in DVCProHD format.

As you edit, monitor your timeline on multiple HD and SD displays simultaneously with the V4HD’s hardware-accelerated up-conversion, down-conversion and pull-down insertion or removal. Watch a variety of display formats side by side, from the pixel-for-pixel accuracy of a large plasma screen, to the color-corrected balance of an LCD reference monitor, to the real-world look of a consumer display. Use 32 channels of audio I/O to capture, monitor, mix and master multichannel surround sound for your productions at sample rates up to 192 kHz. Employ Sony 9-pin machine control for advanced Batch Capture and Edit to Tape operations. Keep everything frame-accurate using time code, video reference and audio word clock.

The V4HD delivers all this with one simple FireWire 400 or 800 connection — even to a laptop computer. With the V4HD handling video I/O via FireWire, your laptop’s expansion slot can be used for high-performance video storage solutions.

From start to finish, the V4HD streamlines your video production workflow, with unified control over all your video gear from your computer desktop.

The most popular guitar interface of all time just got better How do you improve upon something so revolutionary that it changed the world? iRig 2 is the answer. In 2010, for the first time ever, the original iRig allowed guitar and bass players to plug into their iPhone and use their mobile device to play, practice and record with apps like IK's AmpliTube, Appleʼs GarageBand and thousands more. iRig 2 builds upon the success of its predecessor by introducing essential new features — like adjustable input gain, cross-platform compatibility and a 1/4" amplifier output — that will once again revolutionize the way you make your music while on the go. Now everyone can plug in their guitar, bass or other instrument and enjoy killer tone on their iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac or Android device — with the release of iRig 2, the worldʼs most popular guitar interface is now better than ever before. Plug and play simplicity on every device If you loved iRig's versatility, you'll love iRig 2's new adjustable gain dial, whcih works with its built-in 1/8" TRRS output connector to give you a true plug-and-play experience with your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac or Samsung Professional Audio compatible Android device. Volume levels vary from instrument to instrument and from device to device. And while the original iRig provided superior sound, it was limited in that you were unable to customize the input gain level to your particular setup. With iRig 2, you get an input gain dial that gives you the power to ensure high-quality sound in every situation. This means that you'll be able to perform at your best no matter whether you're connecting a wailing 3 humbucker electric guitar to your Samsung Galaxy Note 4 or a jazzy archtop to your iPhone 6. Likewise, its 1/4” instrument input works with your guitar, bass or any line-level instrument. Just plug into it like you would into a stompbox or amplifier. Itʼs as simple as that.
  • The sequel to the best-selling iRig interface
  • 1/4” instrument input for use with guitar, bass and other line instruments
  • 1/4” amplifier output for use with an external amplifier without an adaptor
  • 1/8” TRRS output for use with iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac and Android
  • 1/8” headphone output
  • Compact and lightweight design
  • Selectable dual-mode switch: FX and THRU
  • Input gain thumbwheel for easy signal control
  • Comes with microphone stand Velcro strip
  • Comes with AmpliTube FREE and a full suite of powerful IK applications and software
A digital rig with physical presence With iRig 2, youʼll be able to enjoy IKʼs full range of AmpliTube apps (the #1 app for guitar players). It's ready to go right out of the box. The Tascam iXJ2 allows an Apple iPhone 4/4S, iPad or iPod Touch 4G to be used with preferred microphones or

line level sources (instruments) to create CD-quality audio recordings. This handy extension is simply plugged

into the dock connector of the iOS device and is connected with up to two mono or stereo sources that can be

selected via a switch. Switchable plug-in power for small microphones and mono summing for news gathering are

also available.

The built-in A/D converter ensures high audio quality and low noise. Separate input level controls and

two-colour level indicators for the left and right channels make level adjustments easy, and a switchable

limiter can reduce sudden peaks and thus protect against unforeseen overload.

The iXJ2 is powered through the dock connector, so no battery is required. A USB input is provided to charge

the iOS device for long recordings, either through a computer or a USB charger.

An appropriate 2-track recording application (Tascam PCM Recorder) for iOS devices can be downloaded from

AppStore at no charge.
