DJ`s all over the world claim very high demands to their professional equipment, among which the cartridges “plays` their decisive part by realising the scratching, back-cueing, and live artistic performance, as a big part of the show. Reliability and robustness is vital, when the cartridges night after night will have to withstand these demands in environments with extreme soundpressure and vibration.

Scratching and back-cueing impose heavy mechanical stress on the cantilever and its rubber bearing. Therefore, the Ortofon disco cartridges are equipped with cantilevers made from aluminium tube with increased wall thickness. Special attention has also been paid to the attachment of the bearing and the design of the bearing itself. This means that rough treatment will neither damage the cartridge nor degrade its stability.

The OrtofonPro cartridges were the first to combine the unrivalled Ortofon sound quality with the ruggedness that is a must for professional use.

The MC 1 Turbo is an excellent entry into the world of high output moving coil (MC) cartridges, with an elliptical stylus profile.  The MC 1 Turbo has a 3.3mV output, which makes it perfect for use with inbuilt phono preamps – specifically ones designed for moving magnet (MM) cartridges.  The MC 1 Turbo provides a taste of the linearity and precision of moving coils, but without the need for additional high gain preamps or transformers.

For DJs that require increased tracking ability, the Scratch is up to the task.  Featuring a reinforced rubber suspension, DJs need not worry about compromising sound quality and stylus life when working with higher tracking forces.  With solid bass reproduction and extended highs, the Scratch is great for any style, providing energetic, in-your-face sound.

Co-developed by one of the most legendary DJs of all time, the Ortofon Q.Bert provides unsurpassed handling, high output voltage, and low wear characteristics that literally put it in a class of its own. Turntablists and mix DJs alike will appreciate the strong output of this cartridge, coupled with unrivaled tracking ability and sonic characteristics.  The Q.Bert features a more subdued high end, which helps to minimize surface noise from worn vinyl, and an accentuated mid-range to help bring scratching to the front of the sound stage.

A revolutionary new high performance cart for DJs! Exceptional tracking ability of 120 μm! The Ortofon-Serato S-120 represents a completely new way of constructing and designing cartridges. Its breakthrough patent pending technology has been designed to provide maximum freedom for DJ performance. An innovative technology, called asymmetric suspension, takes the cartridge performance to the next level. Its superior tracking force ensures the S-120 stays in the groove even under extreme live performance conditions. In addition, its design achieves an unprecedentedly low level of record wear, which helps protect your valuable vinyl. On top of this, the S-120 is capable of providing a level of sound quality never thought possible from a modern DJ cartridge.
