Content | The Radial PZ-DI™ is a unique direct box that is specifically designed for acoustic and orchestral instruments. Unlike most direct boxes that are limited to a \'one size fits all\' design, the PZ-DI lets you properly match the input impedance to the source to optimize the frequency response, dynamics and feel so that no matter what type of pickup you employ, you will enjoy smoother, more musically pleasing results.
The design begins with a 3-position load adjustment switch: The 1 meg-ohm position delivers the classic impedance found on most active DI boxes. The 220k-ohm setting warms up the tone of a magnetic pickup to give you the feel and tone as if connected to a tube amplifier. The ultra-high 10 meg-ohm impedance is used to compensate for the harsh, squawky tone that usually plagues piezo-equipped instruments. This is followed by a fully variable high-pass filter that lets you \'size the instrument\' by gently rolling off bass frequencies to eliminate unwanted resonance. You could for instance, retain the low frequencies on a cello or increase the cut-off point to better suit a violin. For active instruments such as acoustic guitars that incorporate a battery powered preamp, you can engage a low-pass filter to gently soften the hard edge for a smoother more natural tone.
To maximize signal handling and reduce distortion, the PZ-DI incorporates an innovative DC to DC switching supply that converts the phantom power to deliver extra headroom. This provides ample dynamic range for acoustic instruments. Should an extra loud source such as an active bass or digital keyboard be encountered, simply activate the -15dB pad to satisfy the situation. Other problem solvers include a 180° polarity reverse switch to tame hot spots on stage that can cause feedback and a ground lift switch to help eliminate hum and buzz caused by ground loops.
The Radial PZ-DI is a ground breaking direct box that can instantly adapt to all types of pickups so that you can enjoy the full frequency response and dynamics of an orchestral string instrument, smooth-out the peaks of bluegrass fiddle, banjo or mandolin, split off a bass guitar without excessive loading, or naturally amplify an acoustic guitar without the usual tone-altering effects. |
Palmer PAN 03 19" DI Box 4-Channel active
Active 4-channel DI box. Each channel has a jack input with a parallel output for passing through the signal. An attenuation switch (-30 dB) allows either a line or loudspeaker signal to be connected.Active 4 x DI box, 19" format. Technical specitications identicl to the PAN-02, however, the PAN-03 is built for mains operation. All connections and switches are located on the front panel, an additional parallel XLR output is located in back. 19 inch rack-mount format, 1 rack space, 90 mm front to back.

Passive DI box especially designed for guitars.
The PDI09 can be connected between an effect device or amplifier and the mixing console. The PDI09 is not suitable for direct connection to a guitar. Integrated filter circuits simulate the authentic "speaker" sound. Tone can be varied between "Mellow“, "Normal“, or "Bright“.
Technical specifications:
- Input: 6.3 mm jack with parallel "THRU" socket
- Output: male XLR transformer balanced
- Attenuator: (Level switch) 0 dB for line signals, -15 dB for small amps up to 10 w, 30 dB for large amps up to 200 w
- No battery necessary
| Behringer DI-400P High-Performance Passive Direct Injection Box
Introducing the Ultra-Compact DI-Boxes from BEHRINGER
There are times when you will want to connect certain sound sources straight to other audio gear, be it for a live performance or a studio session. A direct connection between audio equipment can be a challenge though: technical problems crop up that?ll corrupt the signal.
The DI400P lets you connect instruments or amplifier outputs. It converts any unbalanced signal to a balanced signal and eliminates unwanted noise. With its high-performance transformer, it also allows you to use very long cables without the loss of high frequencies.
This is the sort of medicine that?ll cure headaches in your studio or on stage. |
Inline Transformer IA-2
The model IA-2 line matching transformers !S designed to properly match a low impedance signal to a low impedance source. The advantage of "ground lift" switching allows to optmize hum problems. Technical Data Frequency response 20 Hz - 20 KHz + 1 dB Impedance 600 : 600 Ohm THD K3 50 Hz = 0.5 % Level < + 6 dBm Weight 100 g Dimensions diameter 17 mm, lenght 115 mm |
The Stewart ADB-1 is a single channel active direct box that allows an unbalanced source to directly feed a balanced input. Musical instruments, tape recorders, VCRs and sound projectors can be run "direct" to the mixing console, avoiding unnecessary degradation of sound quality. The ADB-1 operates on either phantom power or a 9-volt battery.
FEATURES: Flat response Low distortion Low noise Wide dynamic range No transformer RF protection on input and output Switchable ground isolation Flush mounted slide switches |
