The RPM 88, RPM 44, RPM 22, RPM 26z, RPM 2m and RPM 2 are 100% drag and drop configurable DSP-based devices, set up and controlled using Rane’s Drag Net software. Industry standard 10Base-T Ethernet is used to communicate between Drag Net devices and any Ethernet-equipped PC running Microsoft Windows. Drag Net offers the ultimate in signal processing flexibility, allowing you to draw the system you need without signal flow restrictions. Familiar Windows file management tools and Shortcuts are incorporated into Drag Net, allowing complete project management within a single interface.

The RPM 88 provides eight balanced, studio-grade analog inputs (selectable mic or line level), and eight balanced analog outputs. The RPM 44 and RPM 22 offer the same high-quality analog I/O, in 4 and 2 channel configurations respectively. A two-channel AES3 digital input and two-channel AES3 digital output are also provided on each, making the RPM 88 a true 10-input, 10-output device. All I/O, including the AES3 I/O, has its own, 100% user-defined signal processing path. The RPM’s analog inputs feature software-controllable mic preamps with an equivalent input noise (EIN) of -128 dBu, satisfying even the most demanding audio applications.

Cost-effective end user control is possible using optional Rane accessories in conjunction with the RW 485 Remote Interface Port and Versatile Input and Output logic Ports. Whether your application requires contact closure Preset recall, remote level control using a potentiometer on a wall, or multi-zone source selection and smart, reconfigurable volume controls, Drag Net and the RPM 88 keep the user interface easy and inexpensive.

Euroblock connectors are provided for audio I/O, logic I/O and the RW 485 port. Grounding screws for direct connection to the metal chassis are provided for solving EMI problems due to shield wiring. Also found on the rear panel are standard XLR-type connectors for the AES3 I/O, an RJ-45 Ethernet connector for computer control and an IEC AC power input.

All DSP algorithms are not created equally and textbook DSP algorithms miss the mark where the rubber meets the road. Rane’s team of audio-savvy DSP mathematicians — a rare breed itself — in conjunction with our industry-leading analog signal processing gurus have combined forces to offer superlative digital and analog audio performance. With 24-bit converters, greater than 106 dB throughput dynamic range and double-precision 48-bit internal DSP ‘math,’ the RPM 88 offers the best DSP algorithms and audio performance available. These ain’t no Internet appliances! For example, the RPM 88’s 400 MIPs translate into 225 fully parametric EQ filters, should you need multiple channels of 15 band parametrics and nothing else.

Multiple units are controlled from a single computer using low-cost Ethernet switches. The recessed Default button on the rear panel recalls Preset 1 in case of communications failure. The front panel has three-segment LED meters for each input and output, allowing fast and intuitive signal flow verification without a computer. Control Port, Power, Ethernet and Status indicators are also on the front panel. Powered from an internal UL recognized, CSA and CE certified power supply, the RPM 88 is compatible with any installation mandating agency compliance.

The MULTIGATE PRO XR4400 provides four frequency-selective expanders/noise gates in a single rack space. Each section comprises an ultra-fast gate, a program dependent expander, a filter section and precision meters indicating both threshold point and gain reduction.

The included side chain parametric filters allow the user to fine-tune control signals so that the gate reacts only when required. The Interactive Attack Control (IAC) circuit analyzes the program material to calculate the attack time of the gate. Separate hold and release controls offer additional flexibility. The XR4400 has a switchable operating mode for the gate and expander. With the MODE function off, the unit works in gate mode using an extremely fast attack time, thus preserving the transient details of the program material. In expander mode, the device analyzes the shape and dynamic contents of the input signal to calculate the control time parameters. The result is that vocals, instruments and complex mix signals can be cleaned up without audible clicks or other detrimental effects.

A couple function on the XR4400 provides a great deal of flexibility to link the expander/gate sections in a master/slave configuration.

The dbx 530 Parametric EQ offers a unique degree of equalization flexibility in the popular 500 Series format. Based upon the classic dbx 905, the dbx 530 is an uncompromising equalizer offering true, fully parametric operation of all three filter bands! dbx has a much-heralded history with modular processors dating back to our 900 Series, and the dbx 530 continues that tradition.

The dbx 530\'s overlapping bands each offer control of frequency bandwidth (Q) and up to 15dB of reciprocal cut or boost to provide exact, complimentary filter action for the most demanding of equalization needs. For problem situations requiring the removal of spurious signals, each of the bands can be independently switched into ?infinite notch? mode without affecting the operation of others. In situations where a shelving equalizer will produce better results than a peaking one, the 530’s high and low bands can be independently switched from peaking to shelving operation. You can also make instant affected/bypassed comparisons using the 530\'s ?On? switch.

Load up your 500 Series rack with dbx 530 Parametric EQs and cut your way through mixes like an audio surgeon!

The dbx 560A Compressor/Limiter offers legendary VCA-based compression in the increasingly popular 500 Series format. dbx has a much-heralded history with modular processors dating back to our 900 Series and the 560A continues that tradition.

Featuring the same switch-selectable OverEasy? and Hard Knee compression curves as our industry-standard dbx 160A rackmount processor, the dbx 560A will be your new workhorse compressor! With extremely wide-ranging threshold, ratio and output controls and true RMS level detection providing the most natural-sounding dynamics processing available, the 560A will provide punch to drums, bass, vocals, almost anything! It’s also versatile enough to go from subtle compression to "brick wall" peak limiting.

The Soundweb London BLU-101 offers a fixed configuration of 12 analog inputs and 8 analog outputs, configurable signal processing, AEC processing, and a high bandwidth, fault tolerant digital audio bus.

The BLU-101 has open architecture which is fully configurable through HiQnet™ London Architect. A rich palette of processing and logic objects and a "drag and drop” method of configuration provide a simple and familiar design environment.

The BLU-101 contains dedicated AEC processing for up to 12 independent AEC algorithms. The AEC algorithm can be applied to signals coming from the local analog inputs or from the digital audio bus. 12 individual AEC references (one per algorithm) allow the user to provide a solution for multiple conferencing spaces using a single device.

Automatic Gain Control (AGC) and Noise Cancellation (NC) are also provided per AEC algorithm. AGC ensures that microphone levels remain at an optimum level, and NC removes steady state noise (such as from a projector fan or air conditioning device) from the signal path.

This processor features a low latency, fault tolerant digital audio bus of 48 channels which uses standard Category 5e cabling giving a distance of 100m between compatible devices. Fiber media converters can be used to increase the distance between devices to over 40km.

The BLU-101 is compatible with the entire Soundweb London family and its 48 channel digital audio bus represents channels 1-48 of the larger 256 channel digital audio bus when integrated with the BLU-800, BLU-320, BLU-160, BLU-120, BLU-BIB and BLU-BOB devices.

Analog Inputs provide software configurable gain in 6dB steps up to +48dB per channel and software selectable Phantom Power per channel.

Phantom Power, Signal Present and Clip information per channel is easily accessible, without the requirement for a PC, from clear front panel LED indication. A bi-directional locate function allows devices to be identified both from and within HiQnet London Architect.

12 Control Inputs and 6 Logic Outputs allow the BLU-101 to be integrated with GPIO compatible devices. The Soundweb London Interface Kit, comprehensive documentation which details how Soundweb London systems can be integrated with third party control systems, is included within the installation of HiQnet London Architect.

The BLU-101 and the other members of the Soundweb London family provide the building blocks of the perfectly tailored system solution.
