Acoustic fabric
There is more to P3 ear pads than meets the eye. The bespoke fabric covering provides acoustic transparency in the centre, while perfectly sealing edges for better bass and noise isolation.

Drive units
For natural-sounding response and exceptional clarity for headphones this size, we redesigned the driver, including diaphragm, from the ground up. And designed a unique damping system to control speaker cone movement.

Bowers & Wilkins most portable on-ear headphones required many engineering innovations to ensure the perfect balance of size and audio quality. The result sounds spectacular and folds to fit easily in a pocket or purse.

RCF Iconica are supra-aural headphones for accurate music listening with extended low frequency response. They are ideal for use with smartphones, media players, laptops and televisions but also with high-performance Hi-Fi devices and professional audio consoles. The long-standing RCF tradition in the study of transducers has made it possible to produce a pair of headphones with a very linear frequency response and extended bass but without compromising on accuracy. This is a result of work carried out in the RCF’s avant-garde R&D department. The soft leather of the ear cushions and headband lead to unmatched user comfort, even with extended use. With P7, everything is designed to allow you to lose yourself in music. Bass is tight, vocals are precisely defined, and there's a wonderful sense of space, balance and clarity across the whole frequency range. At the same time, the over-ear design and snugly-fitting ear pads ensure you become completely immersed in your listening. Because when you're hearing sound this good, you don't want anything to interrupt your enjoyment.

With P7, we have created a headphone driver that works more like the drive unit in a hi-fi speaker, with a diaphragm focused purely on the job it's supposed to do: generate sound. Which means a drive unit with a more precise, controlled movement - and a giant leap forward in sound quality.  

P7's ear pads feature a dual cavity cushion design that helps the pads mould to the contours of the wearer's head. This design maintains a consistent volume of air between the drive unit and the surface of the ear at both sides of the head. Not only is stereo imaging enhanced, but the sound is optimised for every listener.  

We've cut no corners in terms of build quality and our choice of materials. Moving parts and back plates are constructed from brushed and stainless steel, as is the ingenious folding mechanism. The logo plates are crafted from brushed aluminium. The headband and ear pads are encased in luxuriously soft leather, making them a delight to wear even for long listening sessions.

As Bowers & Wilkins first over-the-ear headphones we were able to maximise P7's acoustic properties. But we wanted to ensure P7 was wearable and portable, so thanks to an ingenious new folding mechanism using a highly durable stainless steel hinge, P7 folds up like a pair of sunglasses, and comes with a soft-cover carry case perfect for messenger bags or briefcases.

P7's cable comes with a remote/microphone attachment, so it works seamlessly with your iPhone. And because the cable is so easy to detach and swap, P7 is also compatible with all other mobile phones and MP3 players.
