The new Planar 2 was developed over the past two years alongside the recently released Planar 3. Featuring the brand new RB220 tonearm which is packed with groundbreaking new features.
A new 24v, low noise motor, acrylic laminated plinth, newly designed central bearing and so much more. Every feature of this innovative new turntable is designed to extract the maximum amount of information and detail from your vinyl collection.
Tonearm - Featuring the brand new RB220 tonearm which is packed with groundbreaking new features. Incorporating new ultra low friction, Rega designed, bespoke, zero play ball bearings (Patent Pending), housed within a brand new, stiffer and lightweight bearing housing which was developed with a new automatic bias setting negating the need for the user to set bias, making it almost completely plug and play apart from simple arm balancing. The new housing also includes an integrated arm clip and uses Rega\'s latest custom aluminium arm tube.
Hub bearing - The Planar 2 has a new 11mm self securing brass bearing (Patent Pending) offering improved fit and less stress on the bearing preventing the transfer of potential energy.
Plinth - High gloss acrylic laminated plinth, stiffer and vastly improved appearance with ergonomically positioned power switch. Two plinth finishes at launch: gloss black & gloss white
Motor - New 24v low noise, low vibration motor assembly and new PCB.
Platter - New float glass ʽOptiwhiteʼ 10mm – Improved accuracy platter.

The DP-200USB is a fully automatic record player that easily converts your analogue records into digital files and stores them onto a USB memory stick. Using USB memory makes it easy to carry your digital files when you donʼt have a PC near your record player.
Easily store your record library onto USB memory: Simply insert your USB memory stick into the USB port on the front, press the Start and Record buttons, and the DP-200USB converts your record into digital files. You don\'t need to have a PC nearby. When you insert the USB memory stick into a DENON S-52DAB or RCD-M37DAB, you can enjoy the music files in the high-quality sound that Denon audio products are renowned for. You can also record the music to a USB player that supports MP3 files and enjoy listening to the music directly from the player.
Includes Trans Music Manager, to obtain track numbers and information: The DP-200USB comes with Trans Music Manager (on CD-ROM) that detects the silent spaces between tracks to automatically split track numbers. You can also use a PC to access the Gracenote® music ID server and obtain track information.
Built-in Phono Equalizer: The DP-200USBʼs built-in Phono Equalizer lets you enjoy the music on a mini audio system or radio cassette player that does not have a PHONO jack. (The Phono Equalizer can be switched on or off.)
Fully automatic player: When you select the 30cm (12“) or 17cm (7“) record size, the arm automatically moves to the correct position for playing the record, and after itʼs finished, the arm automatically returns to its original position. This automatic system makes it easy to play records on the DP-200USB.
Aluminium diecast turntable: The DP-200USB has an aluminium diecast turntable for high inertial mass and stable rotation.

A quiet-running synchronous motor with silicone belt is driving a low-resonance platter made from MDF. A new motor control with DC power supply minimzes unwanted vibration effectively. The main platter bearing consists of stainless steelspindle and bronze bushing with Teflon bottom to seccure low friction.
The main chassis is made from lightweight, but very stiff particle board. Essential II utilises a straight 8,6" aluminium tonearm design made from a single piece of aluminium with sapphire bearings, which offers a far better „plug & play" solution, than itʽs predecessor. Special feet effectively decouples the turntable from the surface.

| Pro-Ject has decided to go after the cheap plastic turntable market with an high quality alternative that comes complete with an Ortofon cartridge. The new Elemental table is a real "plug'n'play" all the way. No adjustment of counterweight and antiskating is needed, because both are pre-adjusted. This new straight ultra low mass tonearm is optimised for Ortofon OM cartridge series. All the buyer needs to do is remove it from the box, remove bearing guard, locate the belt around the platter, remove stylus guard and plug it in.
The only plastic here is the stylus guard. The hidden secret to the new table's sonic success, is a central gravity mass point, made from artificial stone and placed directly underneath the platter bearing. It is capable to fully absorb unwanted rumble and motor vibration. This turntable appears to be pure simplicity itself, while maintaining high quality audio standards.
