The laminated dual-layer Varimotion diaphragm exhibits a supercardioid polar pattern for excellent off-axis rejection of audio across the frequency spectrum. This allows high gain before feedback and reduced stage bleed through the mic. Handling noise is minimized by the mechano-pneumatic capsule suspension and an integrated 80 Hz high-pass filter.
Thanks to a 70 Hz to 20 kHz frequency response and a maximum SPL of 147 dB, the D7 delivers detailed sound even on the loudest sources. A hum-compensating coil is incorporated to help reduce interference from electrical devices and to ensure that your captured sound comes through with minimal noise.
