MX393C - Condenser Boundary Microphone, Built-in Preamp, 12-ft Tini "QG" ? to XLR Cable, Programmable Switch and LED Indicator

A wide range condenser microphone with a cardioid polar pattern, the ultra-smart U891RCx is equipped with local or remote switching options. For flexible control in conference and boardroom installations, the unit's external contact closure ability allows a user to trigger an external device - a camera, for instance - from a switch on the microphone. Another ease-of-use feature: the microphone's electronic on-off switch can be set to three operating modes: touch-on/touch-off, press to talk, and press to mute. The mic is also equipped an 80 Hz low-cut UniSteep® filter to reduce pickup of low-frequency ambient noise. Its red LED status indicator can be controlled remotely. UniGuard® innovations offer unsurpassed immunity from radio frequency interference; interchangeable elements are available in cardioid, hypercardioid and omnidirectional polar patterns; a unique rotating PivotPoint® connector changes the cable exit point - no tools required. It requires 11 to 52V DC phantom power, which operates the microphone and switch circuitry.

  • Designed for surface-mount applications such as high-quality sound reinforcement, conferencing, distance learning and other demanding sound pickup situations
  • Ultra-quiet electronic switch can be set to any of three operating modes: "touch-on/touch-off," "touch-to-talk" and "touch-to-mute“
  • External contact closure capability permits control of remote devices from microphone switch
  • External LED control allows for accurate depiction of the live status of the microphone
  • PivotPoint® rotating output connector allows cable to exit from either the rear or the bottom of the microphone
  • Small-diameter UniPoint® capsule near boundary eliminates phase distortion and delivers clear, high-output performance
  • UniGuard® RFI-shielding technology offers outstanding rejection of radio frequency interference (RFI)
  • Heavy die-cast case and non-slip silicon foam bottom pads minimize coupling of surface vibration to the microphone
  • Low-profile design with low-reflectance black finish for minimum visibility

  • Element: Fixed-charge back plate, permanently polarized condenser
  • Polar Pattern: Half-cardioid (cardioid in hemisphere above mounting surface)
  • Frequency Response: 30-20,000 Hz
  • Low Frequency Roll Off: 80 Hz, 18 dB/octave
  • Open Circuit Sensitivity: 34 dB (19.9 mV) re 1V at 1 Pa
  • Impedance: 200 ohms
  • Maximum Input Sound Level: 130 dB SPL, 1 kHz at 1% T.H.D.
  • Dynamic Range: 104 dB, 1 kHz at Max SPL
  • Signal to Noise Ratio: 68 dB, 1 kHz at 1 Pa
  • Phantom Power Requirements: 11-52V DC, 4 mA typical
  • Weight: 266g
  • Dimensions: 108.0mm long, 84.0mm maximum width, 23.0mm height
  • Output Connector: TB5M-type
  • Cable: 7.6m long, 3.2mm diameter, 5-conductor shielded cable (2 conductors under shield; 3 control wires outside shield); TA5F-type connector at microphone end, output end stripped and tinned for connection to electronic device

The PRO42\'s low-profile design assures inconspicuous appearance for surface-mount use in boardroom, school, government, house of worship and other installed applications. Designed for sound reinforcement, broadcasting and recording applications, the PRO42 brings crisp, intelligible audio reproduction to the podium, stage, conference table and beyond. With a wide-range condenser element and low-mass diaphragm for superior performance, the microphone is equipped with self-contained electronics, eliminating the need for external power modules. Very low-profile design for minimum visibility Wide-range condenser element with low-mass diaphragm for superior performance Uniform polar pattern for maximum rejection of unwanted sounds Rugged design and construction 25\' (7.6 m) cable permanently attached between microphone and XLRM-type connector Element: Fixed-charge back plate, permanently polarized condenser Polar Pattern: Half-cardioid (cardioid in hemisphere above mounting surface) Frequency Response: 70-14,000 Hz Open Circuit Sensitivity: -38 dB (12.5 mV) re 1V at 1 Pa Impedance: 100 ohms Maximum Input Sound Level: 134 dB SPL, 1 kHz at 1% T.H.D. Dynamic Range: 105 dB, 1 kHz at Max SPL Signal to Noise Ratio: 65 dB, 1 kHz at 1 Pa Phantom Power Requiremens: 9-52V DC, 2 mA typical Weight: 1.2 oz (35 g) Dimensions: 1.44" (36.6 mm) maximum width, 2.14" (54.3 mm) maximum length, 0.61" (15.5 mm) height Output Connector: 3-pin XLRM-type on cable Cable: 25\' (7.6 m) long, permanently attached

With its half-space unidirectional polar pattern, low-profile design, and outstanding sound quality, the PRO44 is ideal for conference tables, podiums, lecterns and other installed-sound uses. This versatile boundary mic\'s self-contained electronics eliminate the need for external power modules. The PRO44 is equipped with a wide-range condenser element with low-mass diaphragm for superior performance.

With three cardioid condenser elements in a single housing, the phantom-powered U843R offers a remarkably versatile tool for surface-mount installations. Levers on the microphone base allow easy reorientation of two elements to offer 360° or 300° coverage. Since elements can be powered and used individually or in any combination, further flexibility is easily achieved. For example, with two elements powered, the microphone can provide a figure-of-eight polar pattern; with a single element powered, the microphone functions as a standard cardioid boundary microphone. Installation and repositioning are extremely quick, thanks to four recessed pathways on the base of the microphone that enable the user to route the cable as required to accommodate any installation requirements; no tools or disassembly are needed. The microphone also offers Audio-Technicaʼs innovative UniGuard® RFI-shielding technology.

  • Three cardioid condenser elements mounted in a single housing
  • Easily reposition two elements (via levers on the microphone base) to offer 360° or 300° coverage; each element can be powered and used individually or in any combination
  • Also functions as a stereo boundary microphone
  • Provides full, efficient and flexible coverage—fewer microphones required
  • Small-diameter capsules near boundary eliminate phase distortion and deliver clear, high-output performance
  • Low-frequency attenuation improves sound pickup without affecting voice quality
  • Cable routes through any of four recessed pathways on the microphone base (or down for direct feed through a table surface); no tools or disassembly required
  • UniGuard® RFI-shielding technology offers outstanding rejection of radio frequency interference (RFI)
  • Heavy die-cast case and non-slip silicone foam bottom pad minimizes coupling of surface vibration to the microphone
  • Low-profile design with low-reflectance finish for minimum visibility
