Content | The AKG WMS 45 Sport A 1 Perception Wireless Sports Set is a lightweight, headworn wireless microphone system that allows for maximum user mobility during sports class instruction and all other hands-free applications.
The system includes the SR 45 wireless receiver, PT 45 bodypack transmitter and the C 544 L headworn microphone.
The C 544 L is a headworn miniature condenser microphone with a cardioid polar pattern and convenient behind-the-neck headband. The microphone body containing the condenser transducer is shock mounted on the microphone arm in order to suppress cable and mechanical noise. The microphone arm places the mic in front of the corner of your mouth, rather than directly in front of your mouth. This is to minimize pop noise and protect the microphone from contamination. Furthermore, a moisture shield on the microphone capsule is designed to make it difficult for sweat and makeup to penetrate into the microphone.
To help you find an interference-free channel to use, the Perception Wireless Sports Set has 8 UHF frequencies to choose from. Designed for long-lasting continuous use, the compact PT 45 bodypack is powered with a single AA battery for up to 8 hours. The SR 45 receiver provides XLR and 1/4" jack outputs for connection to your mixer and amplification system.
Features:
- 8 hours of operation with a single AA size battery
- PT 45 bodypack transmitter also compatible with all AKG MicroMics
- Low battery indicator
- PT 45 bodypack designed to be compact and lightweight
- C 544 L headworn microphone comes with moisture shields protecting the transducer from perspiration for sports instruction and other active applications. The C 544 L uses the transducer of the C 555 L and is designed to be quick and easy to put on or replace if necessary

- Moisture shield
- External shock mount for high mechanical-noise rejection
The C 544 L is a head-worn miniature condenser microphone with a convenient behind-the-neck headband. The microphone has a cardioid polar pattern and therefore "prefers” sounds arriving from the front (from the userʼs mouth).
The microphone body containing the condenser transducer is shock mounted on the microphone arm in order to suppress cable and mechanical noise. The microphone arm will place the microphone in front of the corner of your mouth to minimize pop noise and protect the microphone from contamination. The supplied windscreen makes the microphone even less susceptible to wind and pop noise.
A special moisture shield on the microphone capsule makes it difficult for moisture and makeup to penetrate into the microphone. This barrier prevents the microphone sound entries from being clogged by sweat or makeup which would make the sound dull and reduce the sensitivity of the microphone. Therefore, never remove the moisture shield from the microphone.
The C 544 L is a condenser microphone and therefore needs a power supply.

Shure WCM16 Headworn Condenser Microphone
The Shure Model WCM16 headworn electret condenser microphone is intended for wireless use by
performers, lecturers, and others who require the highest quality voice pickup with maximum mobility.
Its wide frequency response, low RF susceptibility and reliable operation at temperature and humidity
extremes make the WCM16 suitable for virtually any vocal application. When used with the Shure bodypack
transmitters, the performance of the WCM16 closely resembles the finest conventional vocal microphones.
Miniaturized active circuitry included in the cartridge assembly provides equalization that tailors the low-frequency
response to resemble the warmproximity effect of larger vocal microphones. Because of this low-end response, it
is not necessary to position the microphone directly in front of the mouth, thus avoiding much popping and breath
noise, even without the supplied foam pop screen.
The microphone's hypercardioid unidirectional pickup pattern provides maximum isolation from ambient noise and
from adjacent sound sources such as musical instruments, loudspeakers and other performers. This permits higher
gain-before-feedback without loss or masking of vocals.
Features:
Extra lightweight, adjustable headband stays secure and virtually disappears while being worn
Response comparable to finest conventional vocal microphones
Hypercardioid polar pattern provides maximum isolation from vocalist's own instrument and those of other performers
Uniform polar pattern at all frequencies for maximum gain before feedback
High input clipping level eliminates overload distortion
Cable terminates as 4-pin mini connector
Supplied acoustic foam pop screen
Reliable at temperature and humidity extremes
