Condenser Conference Microphone without base
Data Sheet
The slim and flexible design of the D1015CM gooseneck microphone with its professional, highly sensitive and uni-directional condenser element makes it perfect for all situations in which the spoken word must be understood clearly. Its low self noise also makes this microphone ideal for professional sound reinforcement and recording in meeting and seminar rooms, schools and churches. Equipped with a 3-pole XLR connector, it operates on phantom power (9 - 52 V).

- Digital controller for any size systems
- Ease of use
- Complete with all inputs and outputs needed for complex systems
- Integrated infrared signal output
- Free basic control software included
The CS 5 BU ensures easy, user-friendly control of everything from a small discussion setup to a large conference system. The Base Unit provides all the inputs and outputs needed to manage a complex audio system. It controls 64 audio channels that can be individually programmed and assigned to interpretation channels or NOM limitation.
To ensure maximum reliability, all microphone stations and interpreter stations are „daisy-chained" together and connected back to the Base Unit, forming a closedcircuit digital audio bus. Thus, the entire system will continue operating perfectly, with no interruption, even if one of the bus cables breaks.
To power the system, a CS 5 PS 12 power supply is connected to every twelfth microphone station, ensuring consistent signal levels. Unlike competitive techniques, AKGʼs approach to keeping consistent signal levels throughout the system is uncommonly cost efficient. Every CS 5 Conference System comes complete with a FREE basic control software package so the entire system can be controlled from a computer from day one.
The Base unit shall operate up to 5000 units. As analogue inputs the base unit shall handle an external microphone for easy translating to be routed to channel 1, an ordinary external microphone, telephone in and out with mix minus sum, tape in and out and Line in and out. The infrared modulation shall be included in the base unit, providing the relevant infrared signal on two BNC connectors. Also included in the base unit shall be a USB connector to connect to a PC. A basic software package for participants database, voting and other basic functions shall be included. The unit shall be 1 HU 19” wide in a rack mount housing. A serial port shall be available to enable AMX control.

Infrared radiators providing wireless transmission of up to seven language channels for persons (e.g., observers) listing to a conference without asking for the floor.
The infrared radiators shall connected to the CS 5 BU through 2 BNC connectors and 50 Ohm coaxial cabling and serial concatenation. It shall transmit a PPM system modulated time-multiplex outputs of the central unit shall drive an arbitrary number of radiators. The CS 5 IRT1 shall have a radiation angle of +/- 22° and a working distance of 300 meters (with 50% down). The CS 5 IRT2 shall have a radiation angle of +/- 22° and a working distance of 500 meters (with 50% down).
As accessories of the infrared radiators the holding frame needed for mounting it to the side wall or the ceiling shall be included. The transmitter shall have a built in switchable power supply with IEC connector.

Power (w/o IEC power cord) for up to 40 microphone units. |
- Base Station for up to 200 Microphone Stations
- Intuitive controls
- Superior audio quality
- Voice activation and NOM limitation
- Standard ins and outs for external equipment
The CS 2 Base Station controls up to 200 Microphone Stations and provides automatic NOM (Number of Open Microphones) attenuation. System gain will decrease by approx. 3 dB every time the number of open microphone doubles. The result is a substantially lower risk of feedback even if the number of open microphones varies constantly.
A selectable Voice Activation function turns the microphones on automatically as soon as they are talked into.
The NOM Limitation function allows the number of simultaneously open microphones to be limited to one, two, three, four, or five. This function can be locally disabled on each Microphone Station so a specific microphone, e.g., one mounted on a lectern, will come on every time, no matter how many mics may be open already. |
