We have developed the U500® Series and incorporated some of your suggestions to provide sophisticated and affordable wireless systems that are tailored to suit the needs of professional users. Whether for voice, instruments or as a wireless conference system, sets from the U500® Series will meet your expectations of quality sound, reliability and ease of operation.
With automatic channel scanning, convenient infrared synchronisation, intuitive menu navigation and an easily-readable OLED display featuring battery status indicator and user name assignment, the U500® Series True Diversity UHF radio systems are ready to use in an instant. The selectable transmit power of up to 30 mW and squelch control with pilot tone ensure optimum audio and transmission quality without artefacts and a free-field range of over 100 m.
Interchangeable microphone capsules enable the hand-held transmitter to be tailored to suit different speaking or singing voices. For direct connection to guitar and bass amps, the outputs of the single and double receiver are switchable to instrument level. The wide frequency range of 30 - 16,000 Hz also handles the lowest bass notes.
U500® vocal and instrument sets are available in three frequency bands: 584 - 608 MHz and 655 - 679 MHz, where 12 systems can be operated simultaneously, and 823 - 832 MHz + 863 - 865 MHz, where six systems can be operated at the same time.
The U500® conference system can be extended to a maximum of 20 terminals and provides effective communication with excellent speech intelligibility.

The AEW-T4100a cardioid dynamic wireless handheld transmitter features the Artist Elite® AE4100 cardioid capsule created for live sound venues. The element includes internal shock mounts for low handling noise. An integral two-stage pop filter within the rugged steel headcase protects against "p” pops and other breath plosives. All transmitter setup functions are menu-driven via soft-touch controls. To prevent accidental changes, the controls are covered by the transmitterʼs handle case when not being used. A red operational status LED indicates power-on. A dual-colour power/mute indicator LED provides visual indication of transmitter status. Operating on two standard AA batteries the transmitter features high and low-level RF output settings. The low-level setting allows two additional hours of battery life while retaining a strong RF signal link. Each transmitterʼs backlit LCD display presents a great deal of setup and operating information clearly and conveniently including: battery level remaining, mute, and operating frequency. A flashing "Lo-Batt” alert visually signals the battery life is almost depleted. Programmable power/mute locks limit the functioning of the transmitterʼs power/mute button as desired for particular users and applications. To match the audio input level to the transmitter, a four-position audio input gain setting selected through the function menu is provided. Four nameable user presets allow for storage and recall of commonly used settings. The rugged ergonomic metal body housing with integral antenna will provide years of dependable operation. Each handheld transmitter includes a heavy-duty Quiet-Flex™ stand clamp. The WMS 40 Series MP 40 micropen is an incredibly versatile wireless microphone. Hardly any bigger than a ball-point pen, the MP 40 is incredibly easy to use: just put it in your breast pocket and switch it on. You can even remove the tiny lavalier microphone from the transmitter body and use the lavalier clamp to fix the microphone closer to your mouth. The cable is long enough to allow you to hide the transmitter in a pocket.
The MP 40 is also an excellent handheld microphone for interviews and other ENG applications. The high-sensitivity C 407 omnidirectional lavalier microphone has been specifically designed for speech pickup. The MP 40 features a noiseless on/mute/off switch and input gain control for ease of use.
