Thorens TD 202 Turnable Compared with its "smaller” brother TD 201 it comes with a more massive plinth and a AT 95E cartridge. 

New TD 202 completes the new series of manual plug and play turntables. Compared with its "smaller” brother TD 201 it comes with a more massive plinth and a AT 95E cartridge. 

The integrated phono stage includes an additional analogue/digital converter with USB out. So the record played will be automatically digitized and can easily be recorded on a computer using several kinds of recording software that can be downloaded from the web.

Pro-Ject has decided to go after the cheap plastic turntable market with an high quality alternative that comes complete with an Ortofon cartridge. The new Elemental Phono USB table is a real "plug'n'play" all the way. No adjustment of counterweight and antiskating is needed, because both are pre-adjusted. This new straight tonearm is optimised for Ortofon OM cartridge series. A quiet-running synchronous motor with silicone belt is driving a low-resonance platter made from MDF. A new motor control with DC power supply minimzes unwanted vibration effectively. The main platter bearing consists of stainless steelspindle and bronze bushing with Teflon bottom to seccure low friction.  

The main chassis is made from lightweight, but very stiff particle board. Essential II utilises a straight 8,6" aluminium tonearm design made from a single piece of aluminium with sapphire bearings, which offers a far better „plug & play" solution, than itʽs predecessor. Special feet effectively decouples the turntable from the surface.
