Enjoy streaming audio and immersive multi-channel sound with your amplifier and the Yamaha AVENTAGE CX-A5200 11.2-Channel MusicCast Preamplifier. It sports an 11.2-channel XLR pre-out and features Dolby Atmos and DTS:X compatibility for object-based audio decoding. Built-in Bluetooth and AirPlay support allows the preamplifier to wirelessly stream music from compatible sources, such as smartphones and tablets.

Onboard Wi-Fi and Ethernet connectivity allows the AVENTAGE CX-A5200 to access music from your connected computer or NAS. Amazon Alexa compatibility enables you to control certain functions of the preamplifier with just your voice through your Alexa-enabled devices. With seven HDMI inputs and three outputs, the CX-A5200 can act as a video switcher for your HD source components. It will pass through HDR UHD 4K signals as well as HDR10, Dolby Vision, and HLG HDR formats. The preamplifier also has a USB port for accessing media stored on USB flash drives.

Developed by our engineers, the new Ear benefits from a completely new surface mount PCB layout based on the hugely successful Brio-R amplifier. Exceptional performance is guaranteed with the convenience of independent mute, volume control and multiple connectivity options to integrate perfectly into any users system.

Power Supplies & Noise Reduction

The Ear pushes the Brio-R power amplifier circuit concept to a new level with the use of a low noise, fully regulated, supply. Noise has also been kept to a minimum by the use of an external mains transformer. The Ear exceeds the voltage requirements of IEC 268-15. This along with low output impedance makes it suitable for studio use as well as a hi-fi headphone amplifier. The Ear operates in Class A at normal listening levels.

High Quality Components

The Ear utilises the highest quality components and our engineers’ experience, to achieve the best sonic performance. Utilising the design ideals of the ‘cascaded emitter follower output stage’ with a pair of complementary Darlington output transistors, along with polyester film and Nichicon FG capacitors in critical positions, ensures it is our most advanced performing headphone amplifier to date.

Custom Case

Housed in a compact custom case, the Ear is designed to match the current range of Rega electronics with a matching, high gloss, front facia.The new Ear Headphone amplifier benefits from an all new extruded aluminium case and new styling giving it more of a family feel to match its illustrious big brothers. The Ear simply connects to the tape output of an amplifier via phono leads. The headphones are plugged into the front panel and there is a link socket in case you need your tape output sockets for other use.

WITH INTEGRATED ANALOGUE-TO-DIGITAL CONVERTER

Both Microsoft® Windows® and Apple® Mac OS® come with very simple audio recording software pre-installed. However, to take full advantage of the high-resolution recording facilities offered by the MM 008 ADC, we recommend recording software that can record at 24 bits/96 kHz and save lossless high-resolution audio files such as FLAC or Apple® Lossless.

Thorens turntables can be considered state-of-the-art in hi-fi technology as they would extract even the most minute details from your precious vinyl records. The signals generated by the pickup cartridges are however very small and therefore must be amplified to a much higher level. Regrettably, most of today’s amplifiers are no longer equipped with a dedicated phono stage. This unfortunate situation was a good reason for Thorens to develop the TEP 302, a complete phono preamplifier including RIAA equalization, which was to complement the outstanding playback performance of our turntables.

The TEP 302 is a pure-bred Class-A amplifier which employs selected, very special low-noise operational amplifiers throughout. The circuitry has been optimized "by ear” after several extended listening sessions. Of course, the TEP 302 also features a 15-Hz subsonic filter in order to protect the woofers from dangerous excursions when a warped record is played. More details, more dynamics.
