The H1 Handy Recorder from Zoom is an easy-to-use, versatile stereo digital audio recorder that fits into the palm of your hand. The H1 records your audio onto easily-found microSD or microSDHC flash memory cards, supporting capacities up to 32GB. A 2GB card is included so you can begin recording right away. The H1 records WAV audio at rates up to 24-bit/96kHz, and MP3 audio at rates up to 320kbps and VBR. The pocket-sized device runs on a single AA battery to provide up to 10 hours of continuous operation.
The simple, intuitive interface provides you with 1-button recording, while a backlit LCD display shows vital information. The rear of the recorder features controls for the low cut filter, automatic level control, and format selection. Physical controls are provided for input level and record/playback functions, so you don't have to navigate through complicated menus in order to find the features you want.
A 3.5mm mic/line input lets you connect an external microphone or music player, while a 3.5mm headphone/line output lets you connect your favorite headphones or small external speakers. Recording time
Recording time in normal mode (16bit/44.1kHz) is approx. 25 track-minutes on the supplied 128MB CF card and 50 track-minutes on a 256MB card. Extended mode (16bit/22.05kHz) doubles the recording time. Note that recording time varies depending on recorded source, punch in/out, undo/redo status, etc.

The Tascam iM2X turns an Apple iPhone 4, iPad or iPod Touch 4G into a powerful PCM audio recorder for CD-quality recordings. It consists of a pair of condenser microphones and a high-quality preamp and plugs into the dock connector of the iOS device. The microphone elements are XY oriented for clear stereo definition and minimal phase differences. Moreover, they are adjustable over 180 degrees for the best sound placement.
Unlike mics that use the iOS deviceʼs built-in preamp, the iM2X with its internal A/D converter ensures low noise and better linearity in frequency response. The microphone elements also used in Tascam DR series recorders can handle sound pressure levels up to 125 dB to capture the loudest concerts and instruments without distortion. Thanks to an input level control and a two-colour level meter, level adjustment is very simple. A switchable limiter also contributes to this by reducing sudden peaks and protecting against unforeseen overload.
The iM2X powered through the dock connector, so no battery is required. A USB input is provided to charge the iOS device for long recordings, either through a computer or a USB charger.
An appropriate 2-track recording application (Tascam PCM Recorder) for iOS devices can be downloaded from AppStore at no charge.
