Advances in video have made filmmaking accessible to creators everywhere. But the accessibility of professional audio devices has not kept pace. Field recorders, with essential features such as time code, have been unobtainable for most. Until now. The F8 is made for serious filmmakers and sound designers. With 8-input/10-track recording, super low-noise preamps, and support for 24-bit/192 kHz audio, the F8 captures the highest-quality audio.
Mic pre's
Outfitted with our finest mic preamps to date, the F8 features an extremely low noise floor (?127 dBu EIN) and high gain (up to 75 dB), with +4 dB line inputs.
High-resolution audio and advanced limiters
The F8 can record at 24-bit/192 kHz resolution and is equipped with onboard limiters designed to provide overload protection. Limiting can be applied to all 8 channels simultaneously at full resolution, with 10dB of headroom and controls for setting threshold, attack, and release.
Time code with pinpoint accuracy
The F8ʼs time code is state-of-the-art. It utilizes a Temperature Compensated Crystal Oscillator (TCXO) that generates time code at 0.2 ppm accuracy, enabling rock-solid syncing of audio and video.
The F8 supports all standard dropframe and non-drop formats, and can jam sync to time code being provided by external devices. An input and output are provided on standard BNC connectors, enabling easy integration into any rig.
Weight and build
The F8 is not only versatile and feature rich, it is the smallest field recorder with eight XLR combo inputs ever made. Weighing just 2.1 pounds (without batteries), its aluminum chassis is both rugged and durable.
Comprehensive headphone monitoring
Out in the field, it's important to be able to quickly check levels as you're recording. With the F8, it's simple. A single display lets you monitor single or multiple tracks, as well as any of the Main or Sub outputs, via a dedicated ?" headphone jack with a front panel volume control. Signals can be freely routed to the left and/or right headphone channels, pre- or post-fader, and the headphone output can be switched to mono. You can set headphone alert tones for low battery, recording start/stop, or recording errors. The F8 comes equipped with a built-in 100 mW headphone amplifier, allowing you to monitor in the noisiest of environments.

For users of just about any TASCAM multitrack, the RC-30P is a wonderful timesaver. Punching in on recordings by hand means you're not ready to play right away. The RC-30P lets you play straight through. While automated punch-ins available on some recorders are also helpful, most punches can be done with the simple and efficient precision of the RC-30P, saving you time.
| TASCAM's award winning DR-60D is the new audio recording solution for on-set filmmakers and videographers using DSLR's. For years, filmmakersProSound Network Best of Show have been trying different methods for recording audio, using bulky recorders designed for music and trying to transform the inferior audio technology built-into DSLR's. Now TASCAM has designed an answer that pros and amateurs alike have been waiting for.
The DR-60D is a brand new 4-track solid-state recorder utilizing TASCAM's decades of experience. The recorder utilizes high-grade HDDA pre-amps, legendary AD converters, and a durable but lightweight structure and shape. This device will fit snuggly under any camera or into any rig, and record up to 96kHz/24-bit high quality audio straight to SD/SDHC media. Filmmakers have at their disposal two 1/4“-XLR Locking Combo MIC/LINE Inputs, 3.5mm Stereo MIC Input, Camera In, Camera Out, Line Out and Headphone Out. Both 1/4“-XLR Combo Inputs supply +48V Phantom Power and the 3.5mm Input supplies Plug-In Power for microphones requiring a bias voltage.
The DR-60D is incredibly easy to use, employing TASCAM's very popular user interface and external controls for every major operation. The body structure, soft-touch keys and dials are designed specifically to help eliminate handling noise. The multiple record modes include, 4-Channel Record, Auto Record and TASCAM's Dual Record "Safety Track" Mode make the DR-60D one of the most versatile recorders on the market.

- The recording times shown above are estimates. They might differ depending on the SD/SDHC card in use.
- The recording times shown above are not continuous recording times, but rather they are the total possible recording times for the SD/SDHC card.
- If recorded in mono in WAV files, the maximum recording time will be double the figures above.
- For dual and 4-channel recording in WAV/BWF format, the recording times are about half those shown above.

RS-422 PROTOCOL CONVERTER
|
The HD-R1 Solid State Recorder is a two-channel, single rack-mount recording and playback device created with the sound contractor in mind.
Utilizing the highly reliable Compact Flash Card the HD-R1 records 44.1 to 96kHz, 16/24 bit PCM or MP3 files. The ability to control the HD-R1 remotely is provided via RS-232, Parallel, and RJ45 100Mbit Ethernet. File transfer can be accomplished via Ethernet and/or USB (type "A" connector).
To further enhance the HD-R1's feature set, Mic preamps (w/20dB pad) and Phantom Power (rear-panel selectable) have been included. The HD-R1 offers a variety of contractor-friendly I/O options; such as, Unbalanced (RCA), Balanced (XLR and Euroblock), and S/PDIF Digital (Coaxial and Optical).
And of course... the traditional source device features are Power-on-Play, Front Panel Rotary Input Level Controls, Headphone Jack with level control, and a variety of Playback Modes.
