PRO VLA circuitry is a hybrid design utilizing the latest and most advanced analog and tube technology. Using
a transformerless design throughout, the PRO VLA maintains exceptional signal integrity and extremely low
noise. Its VCA-less design utilizes optical electronics (Vactrol) coupled with a 12AX7 vacuum tube gain stage
for superior musical performance.
The PRO VLA is a soft knee leveling amplifier by design. Although it is capable of providing a thoughougly “squashed”
signal, the PRO VLA was designed to excel in areas where transparent, expressively musical dynamics control
is desired. In addition to making signal levels more manageable, it is common practice to apply compression or
limiting to a signal to make it louder or more “in-your-face“. The benefit of using the PRO VLA for these applications
is in its design. By utilizing opto-electronics, the PRO VLA allows you to add more compression without sounding
like you?re squashing the daylights out of the signal. Unlike typical compressors which use VCA?s to control level
detection, the PRO VLA is very musical. The nature of its operation is much like the way your eye adjusts to light.
Just as your eye transparently adjusts to changes in light, the PRO VLA adjusts to changes in signal level.
Developed in partnership with studio and live sound engineers, the PRO VLA possesses a “sound” that is not available
from any other compressor on the market – at any price! The PRO VLA was designed and constructed with the absolute

The Avalon VT-737SP features a combination of TUBE preamplifiers,
opto-compressor,sweep equalizer, output level and VU metering in a
2U space.
PREAMPLIFIER
The VT-737SP has three input selections: 1. The VT-737SP features a
higher-performance microphone input transformer with +48v phantom
selection. 2. Instrument DI high source input with jack located on front
panel. 3. Balanced line input, discrete high-level Class A. The Class A
preamplifier utilizes two cascaded, dual vacuum tube triodes configured
with minimum negative feedback. A high gain switch boosts the overall
gain of the preamplifier. The four high quality tubes are configured as
singled ended anode coupled followers. A passive-variable high pass filter
and hard-wire relay bypass completes the input signal conditioning. The
phase reverse relay is available on all three inputs.
OPTO-COMPRESSOR
The opto-compressor features a minimum signal path design with twin Class
A vacuum tube triodes for gain matching. The optical attenuator acts as a
simple passive level controller. Full dynamic control from soft compression to
hard- knee limiting can be achieved with threshold, ratio-compression, attack
and release controls plus gain reduction selection on the large VU meter. Special
spectral control including de-ess is available with the dual sweep mid EQ to side-
chain switch. The EQ section can be flipped pre or post the opto-compressor
via a front panel switch for alternate effects and tone shaping. Two VT-737SPs
can be linked via a rear panel link cable for stereo tracking. The compressor
bypass is a sealed silver relay for the most direct signal path.
SWEEP-EQUALIZER AND OUTPUT LEVEL
The VT-737SP equalizer utilizes 100% discrete, Class A-high-voltage transistors
for optimum sonic performance. The high and low frequency bands provide the
smooth characteristics of an all passive design, while the dual mid bands include
variable frequency and switched Q-width selection. The enhanced range of the mid
bands is extended into the high and low bands by the use of X10 frequency multipliers.
The bypass switch incorporates a sealed silver relay for the most direct signal path.
When the EQ to sidechain is engaged, the high-low EQ remains in the audio path for
"tone enhancement“. The output level control provides a variable control of the overall
signal path. The output amplifier utilizes another dual triode vacuum tube driving a
100% discrete, Class A, high-current, balanced and DC coupled low noise output
amplifier.

AXEL Compact telephone hybrid. Management of 1 wired PSTN / POTS line, electronically balanced input and output on XLR connector

Product Discription:

BoxTel MKII is an analogue telephone hybrid, designed to interface a telephone line with audio equipments. BoxTel MKII manages 1
POTS/PSTN line, whereas BoxTel GSM manages 1 GSM line to establish telephone connections where wired lines are not present.

A powerful internal microcontroller completely manages both BoxTel MKII and BoxTel GSM, allowing the configuration of the operating modes
via software. The internal microcontroller provides further functions such as adjustment of the line impedance according to the region,
visualization of the Send/Receive audio levels on the front leds, line detecting presence of a telephone line, buzzer with adjustable level,
AutoHook - automatic line hooking and answering after a certain number of rings. While BoxTel MKII is operative, its possible to exclude or
keep connected in parallel an external telephone set (Tel.Set).

The backlit Hook/Ring button on the front panel allows a quick management of the phone calls; each time a telephone call is incoming the
BoxTels Hook/Ring button starts to flash, by pressing it the operator answer the phone call. BoxTel MKII has the Line Detecting function,
which makes the Hook/Ring button switch on in presence of a telephone line.

BoxTel MKII and BoxTel GSM are devices equipped with an internal power supply enabling great audio performance: two separate
Send/Receive front potentiometers manage the audio level, with a total range of +/- 15dB. The input sensitivity is set at 0dBu while the
maximum output level is greater than +20 dBu.

The audio connections are separated for Send/Receive and are available over XLR electronically balanced connectors. A RJ11C connector
allows the telephone line connection (Tel.Line) and one more RJ11C connector performs the connection to an external telephone set (Tel.Set).
A GPIO port with optocouplers and open collector is provided to establish remote connections between BoxTel MKII and BoxTel GSM and
mixing console. It is possible to connect directly the Telco module of an Oxygen4, Oxygen5 and Oxygen7 console with BoxTel MKII/BoxTel GSM
by using a simlpe Pin-to-Pin cable. Internal universal power supply 90-264Vac/47-63Hz to operate worldwide.

Thanks to all of their features, BoxTel MKII and BoxTel GSM represent the telephone hybrids with the best quality/price ratio available on the
marketplace. BoxTel MKII and BoxTel GSM occupy ½ rack unit - LxHxD 22x5x13cm.
