The Protea 24.24M Matrix Processor uses modular expansion cards to provide up to twenty-four channels of audio matrixing and processing. The base unit offers a four-input/four-output configuration. Each input and output expansion card has an individual DSP processor allowing you to expand the base unit?s total inputs or outputs four channels at a time. These cards are easily installed in the field without the need to reprogram the device. Matrixing allows you to route any input to any output and control individual levels once they have been assigned. Fixed path architecture and extensive processing power per channel will reduce the amount of time it takes to set up your system. All programming is accomplished using Ashly?s Protea System Software on a PC platform. No front panel controls and multi-level software security assures you a tamperproof audio system. Whether you are designing or installing a system for corporate boardrooms, restaurants, courtrooms, houses of worship, left/center/right theatres, auditoriums or conference centers, the Protea 24.24M will more than satisfy your requirements for any zoned system requiring input/output matrixing with signal processing.
The 24.24M Matrix Processor's firmware is supported by flash making the device capable of field upgrades using Ashly Audio?s Protea System Software. Reprogramming is simple and takes only minutes.
Input channel processing blocks include Mic Preamp with Phantom Power, Gain, Delay, fifteen EQ Filters, Gate, Autoleveler and Ducker. Inputs may be configured as either mic or line level. Output channel processing blocks consist of a Cross Point Mixer, HPF/LPF, Delay, fifteen EQ Filters, Gain and Limiter. The cross point mixer in the output section allows you to route any input to any output at any level and mute any input at any output without affecting the true input configuration. The HPF/LPF block offers Bessel, Butterworth and Linkwitz-Riley filters with 12, 18, 24 and 48dB/ octave slopes.
You may use the WR-1, WR-2 and WR-3 to control levels and presets from a remote location. These accessories mount in a standard wall box.
Euroblock connectors for audio, preset recall, dc remote level control and data in/out connections are on the rear panel. Standard 9-pin RS-232 data connectors are located on the front and rear panel to allow all functions to be controlled either by a PC or a dedicated control system.
Thirty-five presets are available to set and store your own system requirements. When using Protea System Software, full system setup and control is quick and easy with the capability of storing multiple system configurations as backups or for future reference.

The CX3400 is an active frequency crossover enabling 2 or 3-way stereo or even 4-way mono operation. Each band features two 24-dB Linkwitz-Riley filters, as well as individual IGC limiters, while the integrated delay enables flexible time alignment. The DX 4008 is a complete 4 input - 8 output digital loudspeaker management system designed for the touring or fixed sound installation markets.
The absolute latest in available technology is utilized with 32-bit (40-bit extended) floating point processor and high performance 24-bit Analog Converters. The high-bit DSP prevents noise and distortion induced by truncation errors of the commonly used 24-bit fixed-point devices. A complete set of parameters include I/O levels, delay,polarity, 6 bands of parametric EQ per channel, multiple crossover selections and full function limiters. The DX 4008 can be controlled or configured in real time on the panel or with the intuitive PC GUI accessed via the RS 232 interface. Software upgrade for CPU and DSP via PC keeps the device current with newly developed algorithms and function once available. Multiple setup storage and system security complete this professional package.

The Soundweb London BLU-160 offers configurable I/O, configurable signal processing and a high bandwidth, fault tolerant digital audio bus.
The BLU-160 has open architecture which is fully configurable through HiQnet™ London Architect. A rich palette of processing and logic objects and a "drag and drop” method of configuration provide a simple and familiar design environment.
This processor features a low latency, fault tolerant digital audio bus of 256 channels which uses standard Category 5e cabling giving a distance of 100m between compatible devices. Fiber media converters can be used to increase the distance between devices to over 40km.
Four card slots which accommodate analog inputs, analog outputs, digital inputs and digital outputs in banks of four facilitate many different device I/O configurations.
Analog Input Cards provide software configurable gain in 6dB steps up to +48dB per channel and software selectable Phantom Power per channel. Digital Input Cards and Digital Output Cards process AES/EBU and/or S/PDIF audio and offer a variety of clocking and syncing options. (Further information about the I/O cards can be found on dedicated datasheets)
Phantom Power, Sync, Signal Present and Clip information per channel is easily accessible, without the requirement for a PC, from clear front panel LED indication. Device-specific information such as Device Name, Device Type, Firmware Version Number, Time, IP Address and Subnet Mask is available from the front panel display. A bi-directional locate function allows devices to be identified both from and within HiQnet London Architect.
12 Control Inputs and 6 Logic Outputs allow the BLU-160 to be integrated with GPIO compatible devices. The Soundweb London Interface Kit, comprehensive documentation which details how Soundweb London systems can be integrated with third party control systems, is included within the installation of HiQnet London Architect.
The BLU-160 and the other members of the Soundweb London family provide the building blocks of the perfectly tailored system solution.
