DMX-compatible light units can be conveniently operated via PC and Mac with the Cameo DVC Interface and associated Cameo software powered by Daslight. Used in live mode, the plug-and-play interface provides 512 DMX channels. When used in standalone mode without a computer it offers 256 channels and programmed lightshows can be copied to the integrated Flash memory. The interface features a mini USB port for input, a 3-channel DMX output and is supplied with power via a computer’s USB output. Three buttons facilitate programme selection and dimming in standalone mode. This requires a standard retail 5 V USB power adapter.

The free Cameo software package contains over 15,000 device libraries and a ScanLibrary editor for creating and editing your own device profiles. Individual DMX devices can be selected, placed in groups and added to a 2D view of the lightshow. Dynamic scenes can be created, arranged and placed over each other. The palette feature facilitates light control without fader movements, and the XEEL engine creates hundreds of wide-ranging, exciting effects.

The software includes a comprehensive toolbox for live editing, an audio analyser, a MIDI clock for synchronising light and music speed, and 3D visualisation of the programmed lightshow in real time. The screen layout is fully customisable to individual needs and the free Easy Remote app facilitates remote control by iPhone, iPad and Android devices via Wi-Fi.

Designed for professional applications and supporting bi-directional communication, the Cameo SB 6T RDM is a 6-output DMX/RDM splitter with two inputs and two parallel thru outputs. It sends the incoming DMX/RDM signal to six separate output ports that are electronically and optically isolated. Each output channel has its own driver to boost the DMX/RDM signal to its original level. All inputs and outputs are fitted with both 3-pin and 5-pin Neutrik® connectors for maximum flexibility and reliability. Front and rear panel LEDs indicate the power and DMX status, and three M10 female threaded inserts facilitate truss mounting. The Cameo SB 6T RDM comes with a powerCON power cord.

NX DMX

NX DMX is a USB powered 2 port DMX Node. As a member of the innovative ONYX platform from Obsidian Control Systems the NX DMX provides instant access to DMX In and Outputs as well as RDM communication. The device is plug and play and requires no drivers or additional configuration to integrate with ONYX. It is designed to work with any PC but also works with any ONYX console as a fast and affordable way to add two additional DMX ports.NX DMX supports ONYX on PC systems for up to four Universes without any dedicated license. The Cameo CLSB6D is the professional solution for configuring DMX networks. The splitter and booster in 19" format amplifies the DMX input signal and distributes it to 6 electrically isolated outputs. It is connected directly to the DMX controller or to DMX devices. The input and the THRU socket for looping of the signal are duplicated on the front and back of the CLSB6D and connected in parallel. Bright LEDs show the DMX and power status of the channels on the front panel, the outputs are located on the back. A switchable 120 Ohm terminating resistor on the DMX THRU output and the power switch complete the equipment; the IEC-cable is supplied. For convenient output connector access and reverse installation the rack-mount angles can be attached to the rear of the chassis.
