Palmer PDI-CTC (Palmer Direct Injection-Box - Cassic Tube Circuit)
The Palmer PDI-CTC (Palmer Direct Injection Box - Classic Tube Circuit) is intended for DI and preamp use. For the latter, a 4-band filter circuit has been integrated. Featuring a true tube circuit with output transformer, the PDI-CTC provides a balanced signal at the XLR output connectors that is electrically isolated. There are no semiconductors throughout the entire signal path including the filter stage. The PDI-CTC is mains powered, and the integrated power supply generates the necessary tube voltages.
In addition to the standard parallel and balanced mic level outputs the PDI-CTC also features both a balanced line level and a ¼" unbalanced low impedance output. The wide band low, lo-mid, hi-mid, and high frequency filters are "musically" voiced. A bell- shape filter characteristic has been chosen to prevent boosting undesirable subsonic frequencies as well as those beyond the audio range.
To exactly reproduce sound settings each and every time Palmer decided on individual toggle switches to set each of the four frequency bands to 0dB, +4dB, or +8dB. Essentially, the PDI-CTC circuit design is based on the idea to realize the shortest possible signal path in order to bring out the subtle tone characteristics of a tube. For that reason the unit does not incorporate a volume control. Due to the unit's extended dynamic range no limiting occurs before signal levels exceed +30dBu at the line output.

Inline Transformer IA-2
The model IA-2 line matching transformers !S designed to properly match a low impedance signal to a low impedance source. The advantage of "ground lift" switching allows to optmize hum problems. Technical Data Frequency response 20 Hz - 20 KHz + 1 dB Impedance 600 : 600 Ohm THD K3 50 Hz = 0.5 % Level < + 6 dBm Weight 100 g Dimensions diameter 17 mm, lenght 115 mm | 2-channel passive DI box for line and loudspeaker levels. PAN-04 consists of a housing containing the equivalent of two PAN-01s, making it a dual channel passive DI box. This „stereo" configuration makes it ideally suited for use with certain keyboards and devices which have several outputs.ive DI box. Jack input with paralell „THRU" output, transformer balanced XLR output. Attenuable input sensitivity, can handle both line level and speaker level signals.

AR-133 Ενεργό di-box με phantom και μπαταρία
The unit includes phantom power and battery supplies as standard. Should the phantom power from the console fail or be accidentally switched off, the AR-133 automatically switches over to the internal 9V battery providing uninterrupted use.
The unit is housed in a rugged aluminium extrusion case, with robust polyurethane end-cheeks which give the AR-133 a very distinctive look.
Input connectors are both 1/4" jack sockets and an XLR socket, the latter meaning that the AR-133 can be used to convert unbalanced signals to a balanced output on XLRs throughout.
The arched case allows cables to run back underneath the unit from the end for neat cable management.
Input attenuation is 0, -20 or -40dB, making the box suitable for instrument, line or amplifier levels on inputs. On the output side, a ground-lift switch is provided for quick solutions to ground-loop problems.
The AR-133 uses an enhanced version of the same audio path as the AR-116, now regarded by many people as a reference standard. The sound quality is legendary, particularly on acoustic and bass guitars.
Numerous applications can be satisfied by the AR-133. For example, as well as the traditional guitar use, the AR-133 can be used with keyboards, DJ consoles, amplifier outputs, and other electronic sources.
An additional bonus is the ability to use the AR-133 as an active balancing device. | |
