“When I run my guitar into two amps simultaneously, I always get a loud hum”. This is a rather common problem, often discussed in the technology section of relevant industry magazines. The Palmer Y box is the solution. Converting the hi-Z guitar signal, the FET input circuitry also drives a transformer which routes the ungrounded signal to the output to eliminate ground loop hum. 9V battery operation is recommended.
The PGA03 Y-box can also be used as a line driver for long cable runs. Also, the PGA03 features a phase reverse switch for the AMP 2 output when using pre-amps or amps that are out of phase.
Can be operated with a power supply unit (not included) or with batteries. “I always get a loud hum when I hook up both my amps…“. A rather common problem! We’ve got the answer !! The Palmer Y-box’s FET input circuitry adapts your guitar signal, driving a transformer which routes the ungrounded signal to the output. Ground hum is eliminated. 9V battery operation is recommended. The Y-box also serves as a line driver for long leads, and it allows for phase reversal of the AMP 2 output. This comes in handy when you’re using two (pre-) amps.

ZBox Overview
Take back your guitar tone!
Today's guitar amp modeling plug-ins are simply amazing in their ability to faithfully model real guitar amplifiers. From IK Multimedia's Amplitube, to Waves, to Native Instruments, to Line 6, to Digital Performer's included Custom '59, you can plug your guitar directly into your audio interface, dial up a guitar tone in your plug-in software, and play. The sound is simply stunning.
The solution? ZBox!
ZBoxʼs unique advantage? Authentic matching circuits that emulate the two-jack switching network found on many classic amplifiers, complete with analog simulation of the input tube grid. Only ZBox delivers the most authentic amplifier impedance matching available for the absolute truest sound and "feel” from your guitar.
ZBox is the "missing link” for digital guitar processing, providing the hardware-driven input characteristics required to truly emulate a real guitar amp.
If you use Digital Performer's Custom 59 amp model plug-in, or a third-party guitar plug-in product like IK Multimedia Amplitube, Waves GTR, Native Instruments Guitar Rig, or similar guitar modeling software, use ZBox to further enhance the authenticity of the tones you play from these products!
Just plug your guitar into ZBoxʼs Lo-Z or Hi-Z input (whichever sounds better), and plug the ZBox into the guitar input on the destination device (audio interface, wireless box, mixer, recorder, PA, etc.) as shown.
ZBox provides the proper input impedance levels to match your guitarʼs output signal. The result? Your guitar sounds like it is connected to a real guitar amp and has a much warmer tone and authentic "response.”
This is especially true when using digitally modeled guitar processing software (plug-ins) on your computer, audio interface, digital mixer, etc.
To support a wide range of guitars, ZBOX provides authentic "Hi-Z” and "Lo-Z” inputs, just like the ones found on many classic guitar amps, complete with analog simulation of the input tube grid.

Special DI box with loadbox for guitars. The integrated load resistor permits tube amplifiers up to approximately 120 W to be connected to the PGA04, bypassing a loudspeaker. A jack socket (unbalanced) and balanced XLR connector are available for direct pickup of the signal. The extensive filter section provides for a realistic simulation of classic guitar loudspeaker sounds.
Technical specifications:
Loadbox: 6.3 mm jack input with parallel THRU socket for speaker operation Loadbox
Input impedance: 8 ohms, max.
Input load: 120 w RMS
Input level display: 6 LED's
Output: 2 x 6.3 mm jack, unbalanced, floating ground, 1 x balanced XLR output
