ZED-10FX is an amazing little desk for small band mixing. It is ultra portable for carrying to the gig, and can be used for recording live or in the studio. It comes with configurable USB audio in/out making it easy to capture stereo recordings.

Guitars can be plugged in directly to the mixer using the specially designed high-impedance inputs, while the mixer has two stereo inputs for MP3/CD players or keyboards. Equipped with professional XLR stereo outputs and a flexible monitoring section with headphone and speaker feed outputs. Weʼve added a set of fabulous effects to give shimmering reverbs and enhance your sound.

USB audio flexibility
Getting audio to and from a computer easily is now a common requirement for live sound and music production. The way this has been implemented on ZED is super-flexible and super-easy! No longer do you need to fiddle around the back of your PC to get to the soundcard inputs, only to find that the levels are all wrong and noisy. Just plug in a USB lead to your ZED, select the USB routing on the mixer and the device on your computer and that’s it! CD quality audio to and from your PC or Mac. Switches and connection through jack socket terminals provide different send/return configurations:-

Send options:
1) Main Mix Left + Right (Post master Level)
2) Aux + FX bus (Aux is a pre-fade send, FX is a post-fade send)
3) Record Bus Left + Right (Separate stereo bus to Main Mix)

Return Options:
1) To Playback input (through jack socket break contacts)
2) To Stereo 2 channel (through jack socket break contacts)

MusiQ
ZED-10FX features a responsive 3-band, swept mid frequency EQ design which utilises MusiQ – with optimised slope (or Q factor) for equalising individual instruments.

ZED-FX
ZED-10FX has an essential selection of 16 time-delay effects, designed for small groups who donʼt want to carry around an effects unit with their gear but who still want great quality FX at their gigs and on their recordings. Our DSP engineers worked hard, crafting and refining beautiful reverb algorithms to enhance every performance. These effects are available nowhere else at this price point – this quality and integration is only available from the ZED-FX. ZED effects are easily controlled using 3 buttons with 9 display LEDs. For example, the ideal delay time can be quickly tapped-in, or the perfect amount of reverb on the lead vocal can be dialled-in. There is one-stop navigation and editing – in fact, itʼs just as easy as using effects pedals. To alter effects parameters, the TAP button is held down and the up/down buttons pressed to adjust the specific parameter for that effect, for example, the decay length on PLATE, or the depth on CHORUS.

Guitar DI
ZED-10FXʼs pre-amps are similar in design to our MixWizard range of mixers, but with a twist! Inputs 3 & 4 have a high impedance jack input capable of taking either a normal line level or a low level input from a guitar pickup. These newly designed inputs have been crafted with the aim of replicating the sound of a classic guitar or instrument tube pre-amp in a combo or head amp. An extremely high input impedance ensures loading on pick-ups is minimal and a Class A FET (field effect transistor) circuit powered from 48V is employed to give the valve-like gain stage. There is a gain “Boost” switch associated with the guitar inputs which boosts gain by 26dB to cater for instruments with very low level outputs and the overdrive characteristics of the guitar inputs are very similar to a valve (tube) circuit, being asymmetric and soft. All this makes for a wonderfully natural sound to be reproduced from the instrument, full of warmth and character

    The Soundcraft GB2 16 is the latest addition to the Soundcraft GB Series, featuring 4 group busses configured as 2 stereo subgroups and an integral 6 x 2 matrix.

    Intended for installed-sound and Audio-Visual applications the Soundcraft GB2 16 comes with 16 mono inputs and 2 stereo inputs as standard. Each input features the high-performance GB30 Mic Pre and GB30 Equaliser designs of the GB4 and GB8, along with 6 Aux buses.

    Soundcraftʼs legendary 4-band EQ has also been improved further with the addition of elements derived from Soundcraftʼs highly successful MH Series consoles. This new design delivers the sound of the classic ʽBritish EQʼ enhanced even further with more focused HF and LF shelving sections

    Four Subgroups are provided as two stereo pairs, with a unique facility for adjusting the width of the stereo signal across the stereo mix. The channel pan settings are retained on the group outputs, while the degree of stereo separation to the mix bus is independently adjustable from full stereo through to mono.

    The GB2 16 also features two stereo input channels, with separate mic and line inputs. In normal use, the mic inputs are routed to the local channel and the line inputs act as a stereo return to the mix bus. Selecting the LINE input to the local channel overrides the Mic inputs.

    The highly-acclaimed and successful Soundcraft GB Series has gained another new member, the Soundcraft GB2R.

    This 19” rack-mountable mixer is designed specifically for smaller installations in churches and performance venues, or for small portable PA systems. It will also find friends in Broadcast where its high quality and feature set will be very appealing.

    Available in two variants, the GB2R offers either 16 mono inputs to a stereo mix output, or a 12.2 version with 12 mono inputs, two full-feature stereo inputs and 2 group busses, each model having 6 auxiliary sends.

    As always with Soundcraft consoles, emphasis has been placed on operational simplicity, clear and intuitive layout and the highest possible audio performance. The Soundcraft GB2R inherits both the GB30 Mic preamplifier and GB30 Equaliser designs from the GB4 and GB8.

    For ease of installation, the connector section is contained in a rotatable pod, allowing cable access from the top of the mixer if sat on a table-top, or from the rear when mounted in a 19” rack.

    On the stereo inputs on the 12.2 model, connectors are provided for both Mic and Line inputs. With Mic signals routed to the local channel, the Line inputs are available as stereo returns to the main mix bus. Two stereo returns and a 2-track (for example CD replay) input are provided, which means that the GB2R-12.2 model can offer up to 26 inputs to mix in a mixer just 19” (485mm) wide.

    Every input has a pre/post switchable direct output for recording or effects sends, while an internal universal voltage PSU avoids external power supply connections.

    The whole GB Series carries the high quality hallmark with which Soundcraft is synonymous, with engineering and design as youʼd expect from this high-end manufacturer. Careful attention has been given to the mechanical construction, to ensure reliability and ruggedness under strenuous conditions, with all input modules being constructed with individual vertically-mounted pcbʼs, fitted to the steel chassis front panel with individually-nutted potentiometers.
