The JBL Professional Control 227CT is a premium in-ceiling professional loudspeaker designed for applications requiring superior quality sound in ceiling-mount applications. Delivering exceptional next-generation performance in a medium format coaxial point source design, the Control 227CT incorporates breakthrough performance features such as best-in-class pattern control to provide a consistent sound throughout the listening area. Especially wide coverage allows fewer speakers to cover the space, reducing both the material and labor cost for the installation.
The Control 227CT features a 6.5" Kevlar-reinforced low frequency driver coupled with a 1" exit titanium compression driver for enduring reliability and outstanding performance. A top quality, low saturation 60 Watt multi-tap transformer comes pre-attached on the Control 227CT enabling the system to be used on 70V or 100V distributed speaker lines.
The Control 227C and CT are easy to install and feature a removable multi-pin locking connector, with secure screw-down terminals. This allows the for pre-wiring the input wires for easy clip-on convenience during installation. The optional MTC-200BB6 14 cubic liter (0.5 cubic foot) back can is made of extra-thick 16 guage steel and the top is lined with 1/2" medium density fibreboard.
The clean, contemporary look of the MTC-RG6/8 grille for the Control 227C and CT is designed to suit a variety of settings, offering a simple, elegant appearance that fits into a wide variety of décors.
To ensure long life and reliability, Control 227C and CT pass JBLʼs 100-hour torture power test. Nobody in the industry has more demanding reliability standards.

- TOA introduces a new range of ceiling-mounted speakers that have been designed and engineered to overcome limiting factors that have been associated with conventional ceiling-mount speakers. Most noticeable has always been the high-frequency roll-off that resulted from limited speaker dispersion characteristics. TOA's new ceiling speaker range provides well-balanced audio reproduction without treble attenuation over an expanded listening area thanks to the extra-wide dispersion characteristics that are part of the overall speaker design. Perceived speaker directionality and beaming tendencies are minimized, resulting in a natural, well-balanced sound over a wide area at all levels. Conventional speakers exhibit high frequency roll-off characteristics as the distance between speaker and listener increases. However TOA believes that an ideal ceiling-mounted speaker's response characteristics should include wide dispersion and non-frequency dependent directionality and this new ceiling speaker series proves that.
- Designed to blend into ceilings with a smooth, low-profile design.
- Extra ease of use and higher cost-effectiveness with the metal "back can" enclosure for the speaker rear.
- Minimal high frequency roll-off allows clear and well-balanced sound reproduction over a wide listening area.
- Quick and easy installation to precisely mount speaker onto ceilings and walls. Rotating front grille also installs quickly and conveniently.
- The Electronic Controller (AC-120) option is required to provide increased control of the F-122C's speaker response.
