DPS 3000 is a 2 channel power amplifier that can handle exceptionally high power ratings in a compact and lightweight 2 rack units space.
Thanks to the class HD technology, this amplifier delivers up to 2 x 1700 W RMS @ 2 Ohm (3400 W RMS bridged @ 4 Ohm), weighting just 14 kg.
It comes with a ʽPFCʼ (ʽPower factor correctionʼ) switched mode power supply which ensures that a predominantly
resistive load is presented to the mains power supply; this also leads to an improved amplifier performance at high output levels. Thanks to its high efficiency heat sinks and variable speed DC fans, the DPS 3000 can withstand the hardest heat conditions ensuring great reliability.

The power amp H2500 is part of Dynacordʼs new PowerH SERIES, which marks a milestone in the design and the production of high-performance power amplifiers. The innovative 3-stage Grounded Bridge Class H Topology with "floating” switching power supply unit offers very high and stable output with extreme high efficiency on an extremely high performance level at minimum weight. PowerH amps are ideal for driving professional touring, high-end Concert-Sound and Pro-Sound applications. Next to classical protections, this new design employs the multi-stage ATP system (Advanced Thermal Protection) for the first time, which in most cases prevents the power amplifier from switching off when the temperature exceeds a critical level. The newly designed MCS system (Mains Current Supervision) prevents power amplifier breakdown caused by the activation of the automatic circuit breaker. For this, among other things, the MCS system uses the highly precise measurement of the RMS value ofthe actual mains current consumption. Information about the status of the power amplifier and its internal protections is provided on a LC-display. By utilizing the optionally available remote control module that is compatible with IRIS-Net™, this power amplifier additionally offers comprehensive remote monitoring and remote control functions plus a universal 2-channel digital audio controller (DSP) including highly precise FIR-filtering and digital speaker protection algorithms. High-Tech in Professional Amplification! The fP 3400 is a lightweight and space-saving power amplifier, ideal for use in high quality touring sound systems as well as in demanding permanent installations. Heat and cooling are fundamental problems in many extreme high power amplifiers similar to the fP 3400. In 1990, Lab.gruppen patented a high efficiency amplifier called fP 3400. This development was an evolutionary step past the Class D amplifier. Lab.gruppen call this unique step forward: Class TD. This stands for: Tracking Class D. Class TD obtains the same high efficiency as Class D, while avoiding the main drawbacks. Class D has a power-amplifier topology using Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) to achieve high efficiency, but it needs a recovery filter between the output stage and the loudspeaker. Lab.gruppen?s Class TD amplifiers do not need this filter and this is one reason why the Lab.gruppen Class TD obtains the same sonic quality as a traditional Class AB amplifier.
Key Features 2 x 1100 watts @ 8 ? 2 x 1500 watts @ 4 ? 2 x 1700 watts @ 2 ? (Measured just below clip level, with both channels driven) Light weight and compact: only 10 kg (22 lbs), 2U high MLS? Switch: Lab.gruppen?s unique power matching for different loads Class TD design in flagship models (fP 6400 and fP 3400)
NEW FEATURES: Replaces the LAB 2002 Multiple positions gain switch Intercooler? cooling system with front-to-rear airflow and easily accessible dust filters Improved low-end power bandwidth Link connector with XLR-type connector Extruded front panel for increased stability Bridged mono outputs in one SpeakOn connector
Besides the traditionally superb Lab.gruppen sonic performance, fP3400 offers a full line of important features:
Regulated switch mode power supply Today There are many lightweight, switch-mode amplifiers in the market. However, the unique Lab.gruppen switch-mode power supply technology offers a number of essential advantages that make it superior to other and seemingly similar power supply designs. The most important features are the regulated power supply and the extreme power efficiency. The r egulated power supply easily deals with a very high variation in the AC mains voltage:it can drop by up to 20% below its nominal level ? e.g. to 180 V instead of 230 V ? without any problem. Perhaps even greater benefits result from the extreme efficiency of Lab.gruppen amplifiers: only a fraction of the energy from the AC mains is turned into heat. A regulated power supply also presents some other sonic advantages, such as better cone control and the same fast response as a conventional power supply.
Multiple positions Gain switch To meet the demands for a flexible gain structure in the system, Lab.gruppen offers a multiple position gain switch. The maximum amplifier gain can be set to all industry standards: 20, 23, 26, 29, 32, 35, 38 and 41 dB.
Sophisticated protection circuitry, combining: DC protection; protects against infrasonic signals. VHF protection; protects the loudspeakers against strong very high frequency non-musical signals above the audible range. Thermal protection; prevents the amplifier from being overheated. The protection indicators on the front panel are switched on, as a warning, before the protection process is initiated. AC protection; shuts down the power supply if the line voltage is outside the operating voltage. Clip limiter; prevents severely clipped waveforms from reaching the loudspeakers, whilst maintaining full peak power. |
