At the heart of the stereo A/D card is a high quality 24-bit 96 kHz Delta Sigma converter
running at 128x oversampling for maximum conversion performance. Focusrite proprietary
designs are used for all internal clocking and phase lock loop circuits to guarantee the
absolute minimum jitter possible, whether free-running or locked to wordclock or Pro Tools
Superclock.
When recording to non-24-bit destinations, 16- and 20- bit dithering can be selected to
ensure the highest quality digital conversion for any format. The ISA's optional A/Ds are
stereo and allow for input from internal (post-processing) and external sources simultaneously
giving a clean, protected, high-quality path to stereo digital media.
INT (Internal Signal)
The internal input to the A/D is normally fed from the internal channel signal passing through
the EQ and dynamics. However, this path can be broken by a signal connected to the rear INT
A/D Direct jack, which allows a signal to be directly connected to the A/D input (replacing the
internal processed signal).
EXT (External Input)
An additional external input (XLR on the rear panel) gives the user access to the second channel
of conversion on the A/D card for stereo recording with two units or for an additional external source.

Power and Options...
The Apogee X-Series FireWire Card gives you the power and convenience of a
direct connection to any FireWire equipped computer. The X-FireWire Card uses
an expansion slot in the ROSETTA 800 to give users of Logic, Nuendo and other
popular software the option of amazing sounding Apogee conversion. Using Apple?s
Core Audio FireWire driver for Macintosh and ASIO drivers for Windows, your
hardware options for your DAW are greatly expanded.
eXpandability...
The two ports on the Apogee X-FireWire Card allow you to daisy-chain additional
devices to create an entire system. By extending the bus, the X-FireWire card
allows for daisy-chaining of multiple Apogee systems or compatible peripherals,
and permits the use of multiple FireWire devices by computers with only one port.
The card also passes power through the FireWire ports to allow the powering of
additional devices. (Note: This feature is available for Windows systems only at this time).
Get Connected
With and X-FireWire card installed in an AD-16X, DA-16X, Rosetta 200 or Rosetta 800
you have the power of a professional FireWire connection to your favorite DAW: Logic 7,
Nuendo, Cubase, Cakewalk, Live or virtually any native audio production software.
Low Latency with FireMix
FireMix is a mixer application that allows control and creation of customizable sub-mixes
for low latency performance in the native environment. FireMix features accurate input and
output metering, 16bit fader control, and eight 48bit mix busses with enough DSP headroom
to insure that there are no compromises to the audio quality. FireMix also has customizable
pan control and key modifier user preferences to allow FireMix to operate in the same manner
as your favorite audio application. With FireMix, you will get low latency monitoring, have the
ability to save and recall all of your mixes, group and ungroup master faders all with little to no
impact on your CPU performance.
Features:
* 2, S400 FireWire connectors, allowing convenient chaining of multiple units
* Compatible with Apple's OS X built-in FireWire Core Audio driver

The Tascam LA-40 MKIII has been primarily designed to provide matching capabilities between professional equipment and semi-professional or consumer equipment. It consists of four RCA inputs and outputs (–10 dBV, unbalanced) as well as four XLR inputs and outputs (+4 dBu/–20 dBu, balanced) which enable the user to connect for instance four tracks of a multitrack recorder (ins and outs) to a balanced mixer ensuring optimum level and impedance matching. Also, a switch matrix allows channels to be linked, utilizing the converter as a distribution amplifier for splitting signals to multiple recorders, or for multizone sound routing applications.
Switches on the bottom panel allow to select a nominal level of +4 dBu or –20 dBu for each channel and ±12 dB trim pots on the front panel make perfect level matching easy. LEDs on the front panel indicate signal presence for each channel. The LA-40 MKIII has also ground lift switches for each channel and a combined master switch to avoid ground loops.
Main Features
* 4 channels with unbalanced RCA inputs and balanced XLR outputs
* 4 channels with balanced XLR inputs and unbalanced RCA outputs
* XLR nominal level selectable between +4 dBu and –20 dBu
* Trim pots for each channel on front panel (±12 dB)
* Signal LED for each channel
* Ground lift switches for each channel and master switch
* Distribution amplifier functionality: One mono input signal can be routed to all four output channels, or one stereo input signal can be routed to two channels each (RCA to XLR and XLR to RCA)
