HK Audio IL 218 SUB Installation Line
A high-performance, direct-loaded subwoofer with powerful, extremely low-ranging and precise bottomend response, the IL 218 Sub is designed to complement fullrange cabinets for enhanced low frequency response. For large theaters, dance and live clubs, similar venues and applications demanding high sound pressure levels. The ideal complement to HK AUDIO IL 12.1, IL 12.2, IL 15.1 and IL 15.2 enclosures.

| | | | Details | | The IL 218 Sub is a subwoofer designed to extend the lowrange frequency response of HK Audio IL 12.1, IL 12.2, IL 15.1 and IL 15.2 cabinets. It is loaded with two direct-radiating 18" cone loudspeakers housed in a bass reflex enclosure. The IL 218 Sub delivers powerful, low-ranging and dynamic bottom-end response at high volume levels. It is an excellent addition to fullrange and mid-/high-range systems for any sound reinforcement application requiring high sound pressure levels in the low frequency range. The IL 218 Sub must be operated in combination with an outboard active crossover or a hi-cut filter. The HK Audio Digital Field Controller (DFC) is recommended for larger and more complex application scenarios.

The vented SUB 18 and SUB 28 direct radiators have been designed for subwoofer use in active multiway systems. The superior transient response of the classic bass reflex construction is also well suited for medium to large bass arrays. The premium 700W RMS long excursion woofers feature extremely low THD, and the reliable, all-electronic Voice Coil Tracking Protection prevents thermal overload of the 100mm sandwich voice coils. For maximum dynamics, the SUB models can be driven by extremely powerful amplifiers; thermal overload triggers a virtually inaudible 'soft' power reduction.

Delivers solid bass response to 36 Hz Enclosure is the same width as QRx115 for easy stacking and transportation. Includes 1-3/8-inch stand mount and 30-inch steel pole for use with full range cabinets without the need for extra mounting stands.
