Jonathan –
Jico is Legit
They took a few days to break in, but they appear to be a good option now that Shure N44-7s are not in production. Not sure if they’re as good as the real thing, but close to and miles ahead of other generic N44-7s that I’ve tried.
Nikos DK –
I recently received a pair of the JICO N44-7 needle replacements and I want to give my honest feedback. I have been a DJ for the past 21years for a majority of that time my go to needle was the SHURE M44-7 for it’s performance and sound quality. I am a scratch/ Turntablist enthusiast so you should know my needles get put through the ringer. I need my needles to not only sound good but minimize skipping and record wear. With SHURE discontinuing their needle production I was under the impression that it would come down to changing my needle preference . After trying a few off brand replacements and being highly disappointed the JICO name was brought to my attention. I did the research and was pleased to hear about the high quality standards and accolades JICO has received. Upon receiving the JICO N44-7 needles I put them straight to the test the needles sound amazing and they hold the groove reducing the likelihood of skipping with no record wear. They perform just as good if not better than the original SHURE needles.
