The IRT-X is a portable active speaker which gives a Full-Range Flat-Response (FRFR) output that can be used in many different scenarios. It features 200 watts of power through an 8" studio-quality woofer with a 1" compression driver giving you ultimate power and dynamic range. Its key design is to be used with a guitar amp as an auxiliary speaker, where it provides tonal and volume expansion to your sound. The IRT-X can also be used as an FRFR monitor for amp-modelling setups as it provides clean and neutral amplification, or it can even be used as a PA speaker or personal monitor. Depending on your requirements, this can solve many different problems or become the core solution to your tonal needs.
Guitar Cabinet Expansion
At its heart, the IRT-X is a unique product in the market, where it is designed to be placed in-between your power amp output and your speaker. It takes the signal from your amplifier and, using clever on-board electronics, it re-amplifies that tone and expands it. The original signal returns to your current speaker unaffected, giving you two speakers of expanded tone. This can be used to fit many different setups:
Amplify a low-powered amplifier: Here the IRT-X can be used to take a low-power amplifier that you may enjoy at home but can't use on stage due it's low volume. The IRT-X will take your tone and amplify it to gig-ready levels, meaning you can use that favourite tube amp on stage.
A new effects loop: If your current amp doesn't have an effects loop, the IRT-X comes to the rescue and enables you to channel your tone through a new loop, giving your old vintage amp modern capability and the potential for stereo chains.
Auxiliary speaker for wider tone: The IRT-X can be used in conjunction with your combo amp as an auxiliary speaker and provide you with a wider sound-field and greater projection. In this setup, the IRT-X could provide the front-of-house sound while your amp can be used as a personal monitor.

FRFR Monitor
The IRT-X provides 200 watts of clean amplification in a full-range and flat-response which makes it ideal for modern amplifier-modelling systems and preamps. It can provide you with a neutral and powerful tone to act as your own personal monitor, and give the accurate detail and definition that modelling systems require.
PA Speaker And Monitor
The 200 Watts of clean amplification and multitude of inputs enables you to use the IRT-X as a traditional active loud speaker. Its top-hat mount enables mounting on speaker poles, while the trapezoidal design also allows it to be placed on stage and used as a personal monitor. The DI output enables your instrument or microphone signal to be fed straight to a mixing desk, giving you even more logistical possibilities.
Ultimate Connectivity
Loaded with XLR & Jack inputs, Input Level, Master Volume, Treble and Bass EQ and a Stereo FX loop; the IRT-X ensures that you have every connection you need. Combine that with a Balanced DI out with Switchable Cabinet Emulation options plus Speaker Phase Reversal and your guitar sound has never sounded better. The Ultimate in Flexibility
To ensure the ultimate in flexibility, the 1960A (angled) and the 1960B (straight), is switchable between Mono (4 or 16 Ohms) and Stereo (8 Ohms per side). The two Mono impedance options provide extra amp matching capability while the cabinets' stereo capability makes them ideal for rack systems which typically run in stereo.
Clear and True
The 1960B produces a loud, well-focused and uncluttered sound with a tight, full low end and a crisp, clear top. It projects well across the guitar's entire tonal range and its clarity makes it ideal for players who like using a fair amount of effects such as reverb, chorus or delay as it doesn't "mask" or "muddy-up" such FX. Its all-around versatility and relatively "uncolored" nature makes this one of Marshall's best selling cab. It represents the sound of the guitar and head most accurately.
The Marshall 1960 cabinets are the best selling amp cabinets in the world and are standard on stages everywhere for their sound and rugged construction. While not complicated electronically, the effects of their materials, construction and speakers make the 1960s the choice of players everywhere and have made them the industry standard to this day.
Offers That Low-End Thump
B (Base) cabinets offer some sonic differences. A straight cab sounds more focused and has more low-end thump. The additional size gives the cabinet a lower resonant frequency for more low-end. All speakers facing the same direction gives a more focused sound. Many players prefer to use only the B cabs, even when they are on stage with a full stack. Zakk Wylde (Ozzy's guitarist) uses only the B cabs because of the tighter low end and because (believe it or not) he values his hearing and the sound from the B cab doesn't hit him directly in the head.

Roadworthiness is a vital prerequisite in the world of relentless touring and as Marshall's 40 years of cabinet building attests, Marshall cabinets are definitely built to stand the test of time! Their highly skilled craftsmen construct these 4x12s from the finest materials available - 15mm birch plywood with precision 'finger locked' (comb) joints, tough cotton backed PVC covering, heavy duty hardware and the highest quality fittings.
Weighing in at around 80 lbs, the JCM1960B is made of 15mm birch plywood (except for the back panel, which is medium density fiberboard) and built for tone, projection, and durability. The majority of cabinet construction is done by hand.

Vintage 30
Back in 1986 a new breed of hard rock player was on the rise. To meet the demands of the players and their increasingly ʽhot-roddedʼ amplifiers, we set out to develop a modern speaker, capable of handling much more power and overdrive. To achieve this, we coupled our ʽHʼ magnet (the closest in performance to Alnico) with a new cone and voice coil employing contemporary materials.
Our most revealing speaker, the Vintage 30 features enormously detailed and complex overtones, a warm low-end, a famously rich vocal mid-range and a beautifully detailed top-end. Used singly to reveal the complexities in hand-wired boutique amps, or in quartets for a wonderfully intricate vintage 3D crunch, the Vintage 30 sound has been captured on thousands of recordings from a diverse range of notable players including Slash, Steve Stevens and Peter Frampton.
