Content | M-Audio Air 192 4 Vocal Studio Pro Overview
Designed as a complete setup for musicians, solo performers, and songwriters questing for studio-quality recordings and fresh sounds, the M-Audio AIR 192|4 Vocal Studio Pro bundles a studio condenser microphone and over-ear headphones with the AIR 192|4 desktop 2x2 USB Type-C audio interface, which provides transparent preamps and converters, easy operability, and an expansive software package of DAWs, virtual instruments, plug-ins, and loops.
With its XLR-1/4" combo mic/line input and dedicated front-panel 1/4" Hi-Z instrument input, the AIR 192|4 can simultaneously accommodate a dynamic or condenser mic and an electric guitar/bass while offering separate meters and gain controls for both inputs. Since the interface has two 1/4" TRS monitor outputs and a 1/4" headphone output with its own level control, you can connect active speakers and a set of headphones and adjust their volumes independently. The built-in monitor mixer lets you dial in the optimal blend of zero-latency live input signal and low-latency computer playback, so you can smoothly transition from tracking to overdubbing to mixing.
The AIR 192|4 Vocal Studio Pro provides a complete package for recording vocals at home or in your project studio; all you need to supply is a computer, a mic stand, and some creativity.
- AIR 192|4 desktop 2x2 USB audio interface with USB Type-C and USB Type-A cables
- Nova Black large-diaphragm cardioid studio condenser microphone with shockmount, XLR cable, windscreen, and carrying pouch
- HDH40 closed-back, over-ear monitor headphones
- Bundled software including DAWs, virtual instruments, effect plug-ins, and loops
With the AIR 192|4, you can create 24-bit / 192 kHz studio-quality recordings with an intuitive and easy-to-use audio interface. The AIR 192|4 enables you to record up to two channels at once with its dedicated XLR-1/4" balanced combo mic/line input (+48V phantom power is switchable), and a front-panel 1/4" instrument input that has a specially designed gain and impedance stage to provide an accurate representation of a guitar or bass plugged directly into the interface.
M-Audio's engineers designed the Crystal preamps to provide you with a transparent, low-noise preamp that guarantees an accurate sound from your microphones and captures your performance exactly the way you intended. The AIR 192|4 incorporates pristine A/D converters for 24-bit / 192 kHz resolution digital audio with a dynamic range that lets you capture every nuance and subtlety of the performance.
At the heart of the Nova Black microphone is an 18mm pure aluminum condenser capsule with a directional cardioid polar pattern. This delivers wide-range frequency response (20 Hz to 20 kHz), resulting in a microphone that captures even the most subtle nuances. Use it for spoken word (podcasts, narrations, etc), vocals, or instruments.
M-Audio's HDH40 headphones combine premium transducer elements with a durable, rugged design to deliver superb sound reproduction and the effective acoustic isolation required in recording and monitoring environments.
When recording, you want to focus on capturing that perfect moment, so you can get the best performance out of your artist and talent. You don't want to be bogged down by clicks, pops, or latency. The AIR 192|4 not only features a high-speed USB connection for providing low round-trip latency (2.59 ms) between your machine and your hardware, but it also features monitor mix control for listening directly to the source inputs, providing you with zero-latency technology. The AIR 192|4 sports stereo 1/4" monitor outputs and a 1/4" headphone output, each with its own level control.
The AIR 192|4 is bus powered, so you don't have to carry around an external power supply. Connect it to your Mac or Windows computer via the supplied USB cables (one USB Type-C and one USB Type-C to Type-A). The interface is class-compliant for Macs and utilizes a downloadable driver for Windows.
The AIR 192|4 comes complete with an expansive software package—two DAWs, 40 effect plug-ins, virtual instruments, and loops—to kickstart your musical creations.
