It doesn't matter if you prefer DB-25 D-subs or Phoenix plugs, the MOTU 24Ao makes connecting up to 24 analog line channels a piece of cake. With so many high-quality inputs packed into a single rack space, the A24o is idea for taking direct outputs off of an analog mixing console or capturing signal onstage in a live environment. What's more, there are three pairs of ADAT optical ports onboard, offering an additional 24 channels of digital I/O via USB 2.0 or AVB network.

The MOTU 24Ao's onboard DSP mixer offers a number of advantages you'll find useful in a variety of settings. For starters, this digital mixer supports up to 48 inputs and 12 stereo busses, allowing you to set up extremely complex routing schemes completely independent of your computer.

In fact, if you connect a wireless router to your 24Ao, you can access all of its internal mixing functions, including effects and processing, via an app on your iOS device, turning this powerful audio interface into a fully capable standalone mixer. Speaking of onboard processing and effects, whether you're in the studio or onstage with your 24Ao, you'll find a ton of uses for its DSP EQ, compression, gate, and reverb.

Another extremely cool use of the 24Ao's Ethernet connection is the ability to link more MOTU AVB equipped audio interfaces to it. You can do this in one of two ways: directly via a simple Ethernet cable or as part of an audio network via one or more MOTU AVB Switch.

If you go with just a single Ethernet cable, you can easily link a second 24Ao or other AVB ready device directly to your first one. With MOTU AVB Switches, you can create an audio network of up to five units, potentially linking hundreds of channels of I/O across multiple rooms. And since it's all over standard Cat-5e Ethernet cable, latency or cable runs aren't any kind of issue.

Yamaha GO46 FireWire Interface

The GO46 FireWire interface from Yamaha provides a means to stream
high-quality 24-bit/192kHz digital audio and MIDI into a computer. Connect
it to a laptop, and you've got a rugged and portable interface that can go
anywhere you go, hence the name "GO46." This box is the ideal interface
for great-sounding audio on the "GO."

Premium Mic Pres and Inputs
The GO46 features combo mic/line terminals (for both XLR and phone jack)
 on the front panel. Phantom power is also available and independently
switchable for each input channel. In other words, you can use a condenser
microphone on channel 1 with phantom power switched on to capture the
delicate sounds of a vocal while simultaneously recording an electric/acoustic
guitar plugged into channel 2. These combo inputs are captured at up to 24-bit/
192kHz resolution. This pro-level quality makes the GO46 perfect for any type
of recording, and allows you to capture the full details and nuances of the
original source - from the breathiness of a vocal to the delicate finger slides of
an acoustic guitar performance.

FireWire Connectivity
The FireWire equipped GO46 not only offers the convenience of one plug
connection to a computer, but the GO46 can be powered via bus power
from the FireWire port. Connect the GO46 to the FireWire terminal of a
laptop and you've got and extremely powerful and portable recording studio
that will fit in a backpack. This is also great for using the GO46 in places
where electrical outlets can be scarce, like local clubs.

In order to maximize the flexibility of the GO46, Yamaha included virtually
any kind of connection you might need on location recording gigs. Two
insert points allow for connection to outboard gear like compressors or EQs.
MIDI in/out allows for connection of MIDI sound modules or instruments.
S/PDIF jacks are great for inputting digital signal from another interface or
throughputting the GO46 signal to a digital mixer, separate digital recorder,
or any other digital device.

The 828mk3 is MOTU's most advanced FireWire audio interface. Once again it raises the bar with innovative new features, enhanced standard features that remain unique, superb sound and reliable performance.

The 828mk3 provides ten channels of pristine 192 kHz analog recording and playback, combined with sixteen channels of ADAT digital I/O and stereo S/PDIF. Expand your system by connecting additional MOTU FireWire audio interfaces or the 8pre mic input expander.

The 828mk3 is equally well-suited for studio and stage, with or without a computer. As an interface or standalone mixer, the 828mk3 provides 28 separate inputs and 30 separate outputs, including dedicated main outs on XLRs and two front panel headphone outs.

MOTU FireWire audio interfaces are fully compatible with FireWire 800-equipped Macs. All you need is a standard FireWire 400-to-800 cable. Just plug in and go. The FireWire bus operates at 400 Mb/sec, providing the same high speed, low latency and rock solid reliability that MOTU FireWire interfaces are known for.

After programming the on-board mixing in the studio, unplug the 828mk3 from the computer and take it on the road for operation as a stand-alone mixer with effects. All mixing and effects parameters are adjustable using the front panel backlit LCD.

The 828mk3 provides cross-platform compatibility with Mac and Windows and all of your favorite audio software and host-based effects via WDM/ASIO/Core Audio drivers. he U46XL is a powerful multi-purpose 4-in 6-out multi-channel audio interface designed for various recording applications at home or on the road. The U46XL is the successor of to ESI Audio's famous U46DJ interface.

As its predecessor, it provides 2 stereo line inputs, a microphone input with +48V phantom power and a headphone output. A main difference is the improved analog circuitry improving the audio quality as well as the professional microphone preamplifier with XLR input. This makes the U46XL the perfect solution to record signals from dynamic or condenser microphones on the road or in your studio.

The unit also features an instrument input (Hi-Z), typically to connect a guitar directly to it. Two totally separate stereo line input on the backside provide 4 simultaneously usable input channels at one time. There are also 6 independent individual outputs on the backside, perfect for multi-channel playback applications like to provide individual outputs for software synthesizers, to provide independent playback channels for DJ software or to provide surround playback capability via a 5.1 setup. A separate mix output with professional TRS outputs could be used to connect U46XL to professional stereo studio monitors.

A cool feature is the DirectWIRE support in the driver, allowing you to record signals from one application to another internally. U46XL works with this driver based on our EWDM technology under Windows XP and Windows Vista/7, however U46XL is also Mac OS X compatible.

U46XL ships with Cubase LE 4 from Steinberg for Mac and PC to start recording on a professional level right out of the box.
