The wind noise attenuation was measured without electrical filtering in a turbulent air stream traveling at 20 km/h, generated by a noiseless wind machine. These windscreens also fit microphones held by an elastic suspension. The microphone is mounted in the EA 82 elastic suspension and placed inside the WK 81/82 windscreen. This assembly is then attached to the SG 82 swivel mount, or the HG 82 handle. Suppression of wind noise approx. 24 (25) dB. Attenuation at 15 kHz approx. 2 (3) dB. Diameter 100 mm, length 440 (610) mm. A windscreen cover is included.

The NT5 matched pairs are a masterpiece of small-diaphragm cardioid- condenser microphone design.Intended for recording acoustic instruments, drum overheads, cymbals and live performances, the compact externally polarized mic employs a .5? capsule, an active J-FET impedance converter with bipolar output buffer. The R?DE NT6 is specifically designed for difficult mounting applications. Although
clearly relevant to instrument mic'ing, the new NT6 is extremely well suited to any
situation where a small 'unobtrusive' but powerful microphone system is required.
The NT6 utilises the 1/2" (externally biased) gold sputtered true condenser transducer
used in the internationally renowned R?DE NT5. The capsule is designed to attach to
a custom made, multi-position swivel mount allowing it to be independently positioned
with ease.
To further increase the versatility of the NT6, it is supplied with 2 thread adaptors - 1/4"
to 5/8" and 1/4" to 3/8" that enable the capsule assembly to be securely attached to a
wide variety of mic stands, tripods and boom poles.
The capsule is connected to the pre-amplifier (body) by a custom 3 m Kevlar? fibre reinforced
cable. Housed within the heavy duty satin-nickel-plated body, is a state-of-the-art low noise
balanced output preamplifier, exhibiting a wide dynamic range and full frequency response.
The surface-mount pre-amplifier circuit also incorporates a 2-position variable pad: 0 dB an -10 dB
attenuation, and a 2-position variable high-pass filter that enables you to step from a flat response
to 80 Hz high pass filter; both conveniently located away from the capsule, providing additional
control without the need to move the capsule once in position.
The NT6 is intended for Film, Television, Broadcast, Live Performance, Theatre, Television,
Surround and Environmental recording applications or wherever your imagination takes you.
The NT6 is produced in R?DE's design and manufacturing facility in Sydney, Australia. Utilising
state of the art computer controlled machining and assembly technologies, R?DE is able to
achieve levels of finish and repeatability of the most exacting standards and tolerances.

Operation power:
The NT6 is designed to operate from phantom power to the P48 standard. The NT6 will operate
between 44V and 52V applied with positive polarity to pin 2 and pin 3 of the output XLR connector.

High directivity and wide frequency response in a relatively short shotgun make this
microphone a perfect tool for theater, sound reinforcement, and film/TV applications.
Due to its compact and lightweight design, the C 568 B is ideal for camera mount
applications. Below 500 Hz it functions as a hypercardioid microphone; above 500 Hz
the acoustic interference tube introduces increasing directivity. A switchable 12 dB/
octave 120 Hz bass cut filter effectively suppresses rumble and wind noise. The rugged,

This new mic is a performance / price breakthrough. It has an acoustically identical version of the legendary CK1 capsule that is permanently mounted. This combination can handle high output transients as well as subtle harmonics. Also included are switchable 75 and 150Hz 12dB per octave rolloff, and switchable -10 & -20 dB input pad. It is a single pattern (cardioid), and has a frequency response of 20 to 20kHz with 135 dB SPL. Requires 12 to 48V phantom power. Kit comes with bag, windscreen and clip. For more than twenty years, the AKG C 451 with the CK 1 condenser capsule was a standard item on tour riders for sound companies and required by leading engineers for studio projects. When it was discontinued in 1993, there was still a big demand for this microphone. AKG now has an updated version of this classic microphone. The new C 451B provides the same frequency response as the legendary CK 1 with the same slight high-end rise that was the signature of the original.
