When microphones are exposed to strong wind, WK... windscreens should be used for best performance. Only in the upper frequency range is the output level slightly attenuated. The wind noise attenuation was measured without electrical filtering in a turbulent air stream traveling at 20 km/h, generated by a noiseless wind machine. These windscreens also fit microphones held by an elastic suspension. The microphone is mounted in the EA 82 elastic suspension and placed inside the WK 81/82 windscreen. This assembly is then attached to the SG 82 swivel mount, or the HG 82 handle. Suppression of wind noise approx. 24 (25) dB. Attenuation at 15 kHz approx. 2 (3) dB. The R?DE NT6 is specifically designed for difficult mounting applications. Although
clearly relevant to instrument mic'ing, the new NT6 is extremely well suited to any
situation where a small 'unobtrusive' but powerful microphone system is required.
The NT6 utilises the 1/2" (externally biased) gold sputtered true condenser transducer
used in the internationally renowned R?DE NT5. The capsule is designed to attach to
a custom made, multi-position swivel mount allowing it to be independently positioned
with ease.
To further increase the versatility of the NT6, it is supplied with 2 thread adaptors - 1/4"
to 5/8" and 1/4" to 3/8" that enable the capsule assembly to be securely attached to a
wide variety of mic stands, tripods and boom poles.
The capsule is connected to the pre-amplifier (body) by a custom 3 m Kevlar? fibre reinforced
cable. Housed within the heavy duty satin-nickel-plated body, is a state-of-the-art low noise
balanced output preamplifier, exhibiting a wide dynamic range and full frequency response.
The surface-mount pre-amplifier circuit also incorporates a 2-position variable pad: 0 dB an -10 dB
attenuation, and a 2-position variable high-pass filter that enables you to step from a flat response
to 80 Hz high pass filter; both conveniently located away from the capsule, providing additional
control without the need to move the capsule once in position.
The NT6 is intended for Film, Television, Broadcast, Live Performance, Theatre, Television,
Surround and Environmental recording applications or wherever your imagination takes you.

Operation power:
The NT6 is designed to operate from phantom power to the P48 standard. The NT6 will operate
between 44V and 52V applied with positive polarity to pin 2 and pin 3 of the output XLR connector.

Stylish and modern, the NT3 is a studio and location workhorse. With both
48V phantom and internal 9V battery operation, this R?DE is at home anywhere.
Intended for studio, stage and location work, this versatile handheld or stand
mounted microphone incorporates a true externally polarized condenser (hyper-
cardioid polar response) transducer with an internal capsule shock mounting
system, and an ultra-low noise electronic circuit that has a high immunity to R.F.
interference. Incorporating a rugged welded and heat-treated mesh head and all

Due to its compact and lightweight design, the C 568 B is ideal for camera mount
applications. Below 500 Hz it functions as a hypercardioid microphone; above 500 Hz
the acoustic interference tube introduces increasing directivity. A switchable 12 dB/
octave 120 Hz bass cut filter effectively suppresses rumble and wind noise. The rugged,

Current consumption | This new mic is a performance / price breakthrough. It has an acoustically identical version of the legendary CK1 capsule that is permanently mounted. This combination can handle high output transients as well as subtle harmonics. Also included are switchable 75 and 150Hz 12dB per octave rolloff, and switchable -10 & -20 dB input pad. For more than twenty years, the AKG C 451 with the CK 1 condenser capsule was a standard item on tour riders for sound companies and required by leading engineers for studio projects. When it was discontinued in 1993, there was still a big demand for this microphone. AKG now has an updated version of this classic microphone.
The new C 451B provides the same frequency response as the legendary CK 1 with the same slight high-end rise that was the signature of the original. This characteristic makes the C 451B an ideal tool for capturing signals rich in transients such as acoustic guitars, snare drums, hi-hats and for overhead micing of drum kits. The C 451B?s response eliminates the need for heavy EQ on these instruments.
The new C 451B has also benefited from newer electronic technology with machine soldering and surface-mount components that improve noise performance and make the microphone much more reliable than the original.
