EtherCon? ruggedized RJ45 connectors provide solutions for data transfer
in harsh demanding environments by offering a cable carrier and receptacle
that helps to protect the contacts of the RJ45 connections. Designed to
protect the fragile latch and cover of standard RJ45 connectors from breakage,
you will find uses for this connector system in Ethernet networking of audio,
commercial, entertainment, stage production, DMX lighting, industrial and
outdoor Internet access applications.
The Ethercon series offers both male cable carriers and assembled female
receptacles. The cable end offers a robust diecast shell as a carrier for pre-
assembled RJ45 plugs. Female chassis connectors are based on the current
Neutrik "A" series as well the "D" series of XLR receptacles with secure latching
system - a feature not found on other RJ45 receptacles. Termination is offered
in both IDC Krone and IDC 110 punch down terminals. Neutrik Ethercon products
comply with Category 5 shielded or unshielded and are compatible for use with

RJ45 cable connector carrier for pre-assembled RJ45 plugs consists of black chromium shell, bushing and boot. Packed with two cable protection elements for cable diameter up to 8 mm. Cable connector carrier does not include a RJ45 plug.
The etherCON cable connector carrier upgrades a conventional RJ45 connector to an extremely robust lockable solution.
ATTENTION: Does not intermate with the CAT6 chassis connectors NE8FDY-C6 and NE8FDY-C6-B.
Neutrik NE8MX-B Overview
Upgrade the protection of a pre-assembled RJ45 plug with the NE8MX-B etherCON RJ45 Cable Connector Carrier for Pre-Assembled RJ45 Plugs from Neutrik. Boasting a black chromium die-cast shell, bushing, and boot, the NE8MX-B comes with chuck-style strain relief, as well as two cable-protection elements for cable diameters up to 0.31".
Note: The NE8MX-B does not include an RJ45 plug, and it does not intermate with Neutrik NE8FDY-C6 and NE8FDY-C6-B Cat 6 chassis connectors.
Ideal for harsh and demanding environments, the NE8MX-B is designed to protect Ethernet connections in a variety of commercial applications, and it helps to prevent breakage of the fragile components of standard RJ45 connectors. The carrier allows for the assembly of pre-assembled conventional RJ45 cables.
