When tasting wine, it is important that a comparison is as neutral as possible. The same applies to selecting loudspeakers. To accurately judge sound characteristics, it is essential to listen to different loudspeakers under the same conditions.
Comfortable loudspeaker routing with variable level control for an uncompromising comparison on the sales floor, along with multi-monitor and multi-room applications, are just some of the ways the GrandAudition MK2 can be effectively put to use.
GrandAudition MK2 lets you connect 16 individual loudspeakers or eight loudspeaker pairs and up to eight subwoofers - all with balanced line-level XLR connectors and housed in two 19\" rack units. Depending on how you want to use GrandAudition MK2, the outputs can be selected either individually or as stereo pairs via an intuitive browser-based app or from the unit itself.
Thereby you can choose to just switch between loudspeakers or freely configure any output combination you want, making it not only the ideal solution for a loudspeaker presentation, but also an excellent choice as a central-control-unit for trade fairs, in laboratories and for multi-room sound distribution.
Source material is supplied from a mixer, CD player or digital audio workstation through two balanced XLR inputs - with volume control, of course. But that\'s not all. GrandAudition MK2 is also equipped with a built-in USB media player on which reference titles can be accessed in WAV, AIF, FLAC, MP3 and OGG data formats.
Highlight of GrandAudition MK2
The browser-based remote can be controlled on a tablet or laptop, offering maximum operating convenience. Ethernet and WLAN-capable devices can be used for complete configuration and control of the unit, including channel naming, media player, and other practical functions.
The ability to individually adjust the level for each output and its quick and noiseless switching mechanism, makes it possible to accurately compare loudspeakers and help you reliably guide your customers to select the right loudspeaker. Routing applications that use different levels for each output can also be set up, and a fully analogue signal path with the highest quality is also of course guaranteed with Palmer.
If necessary, you can cascade units to triple the impressive number of 16 channels plus 8 outputs and thus manage even the largest routing scenarios for monitors, such as in presentation areas. You can also use the subwoofer outputs to connect additional loudspeakers without experiencing any technical drawbacks.
In addition to powered loudspeakers, passive loudspeakers can be incorporated with power amps. Signals can also be distributed over multiple line outputs for other applications, for example, by connecting as many as 24 headphone amplifiers to one source signal - an invaluable aid in conference technology and at trade fairs. And to top it all off, GrandAudition MK2 performs remarkably well in measuring laboratories.
In short, GrandAudition MK2, with its clearly arranged features and ease of use, offers comfortable loudspeaker routing with professional sound neutrality.

Today?s venues face a growing need to provide a multiplicity of audio feeds from presentations, conferences, orchestral performances and lectures. The advent of digital broadcasting, the growth of webcasts and direct-to-CD archiving highlight the deficiencies in audio splitting systems more than ever before. Whether the final product is a broadcast feed or CD sales of an unrepeatable lecture, performance or event, end-users? expectations of audio quality are higher than ever. With these requirements in mind, ARX has developed the MSX 8 Active Microphone/Line Splitter to deliver the performance required by today?s standards of audio production. Active microphone and line splitting has a number of benefits over passive splitters: primarily these are improved sound quality, noise figures comparable to the best microphone inputs, and increased resistance to RFI. All of which translate into superb audio quality for your clients. About the MSX 8 The MSX 8 consists of two channels of actively buffered ultra low noise Microphone/ Line Splitter. Each of these channels has four electronically Balanced splits ? two on the rear panel, plus two more on the front panel. All four output splits have the option of transformer balancing if so specified. Each channel has a ?20 dB pad switch plus silently switchable 48V Phantom power with indicator LED.Gain through the MSX 8 can be set individually by the small DIP switches on the rear of each channel, from 0dB through to +40 dB in 10 dB stepsA ?Link? switch links Channel 1 to Channel 2, providing an ultimate maximum of 8 Outputs from a single input. An indicator LED shows when this is active. A Clip LED indicates imminent signal overload through the channel, and a numbered marker panel on the front provides a space where individual channel connections can be noted. For remote or mobile applications a 5 pin DIN connector on the rear panel provides an access point to connect a 12V DC power supply Inside Information Internally, powerful RF input filtering removes both common mode and differential interference at ultrasonic frequencies and above. High CMRR is achieved by the use of precision components throughout.Advanced user options include internally jumper linking Inputs to Main outputs, and Ground lifting Output Pins 1as required. Internal Power Supply The MSX 8 has a low noise transformer based power supply to obtain the maximum benefit from the ultra low noise design of the splitter circuitry. Summing up, the feature packed MSX 8 is the answer wherever transparent signal buffering and routing is required. About the DI6s It's a fact of audio life that a lot of equipment that has to be connected to professional audio systems isn't impedance or level compatible. Interfaces Unlimited Tape/cassette/DVD/CD decks, audio for video, drum machines, synthesizers, bass guitars, computers; at some stage all these need linking up to Balanced inputs, whether the application is Live sound, Studio or Broadcast. To solve these problems, we've developed the DI-6s:
Six active D.I. (Direct Injection) boxes, plus a 6 into 1 Line Mixer, plus a 1 to 6 Splitter, All of this in a compact, all steel 1 RU package.
A Pro Audio Toolbox This unique and flexible audio toolbox allows Six independent unbalanced audio sources to easily and quietly interface with Balanced pro audio systems, either to individual channels or summed down to one Master output. But that's not all. By pressing a single switch on the rear panel the DI6s will change from being Direct Boxes and a Mixer to being a 6 way Splitter (line distribution amplifier). Now it will split an incoming signal to 6 individual outputs or zones. On the front panel, each channel has 2 IN/OUT jacks, a level control from infinity (off) through 0dB to +15dB gain, and a Clip indicator LED.The Master section has a Master volume control and status LEDs indicating whether the unit is in DI or Splitter mode. In addition, as on all ARX single rack unit equipment, each channel has a numbered marker panel ('scribble strip') you can write on for easy confirmation of channel assigns. Balanced Outputs On the rear, each channel has an XLR Balanced output, with associated Ground lift switch and status LED, to isolate the chassis and electronic grounds. The Master section has both Balanced XLR and Unbalanced Jack outputs. In addition there is a Balanced XLR input with a switch to put the unit in either DI or Splitter mode. Universal AC Power AC power range is a universal 100 to 120V or 220 to 240V AC, and is connected to the unit via a removable power lead and standard 3 pin IEC connector, with built-in fuse and voltage change switch. With so many handy functions, plus a true 'user friendly' layout, it's no wonder people call the DI-6s 'A total Audio Patching System in 1 RU!' You'll never compromise on Quality when you choose ARX

| The PRMMS8 is an ultra low noise 8-channel microphone splitter providing a direct output and a transformer isolated output for each balanced XLR input. For extra flexibility, four front panel switches enable channel linking which permits routing a single input signal to multiple outputs feeding FOH, monitor, recording and broadcast mixing consoles, or merging two input signals into a single output. For use with condenser microphones, the direct outputs serve as a path for phantom power. Each channel includes a ground lift switch to eliminate hum and interference caused by ground loops between electronic equipment connected to the PRMMS8.332.
