Sometimes you can’t beat classic vinyl

The PL-30 full-automatic stereo turntable features an aluminium die-cast platter, tone arm and exchangeable headshell with high-performance MM cartridge. It provides easy hands-off operation, while the stable precision DC servo motor ends spindle wobble for smoother and more accurate platter rotation. To top it off, this turntable comes in an unobtrusive design that matches any décor.

The built-in phono equaliser with ‘On Through’ selector lets you select ‘On’ for connecting amps without phono terminal, or ‘Through’ when using an external phono equaliser.

Double-layered chassis

The PL-30 has a double-layered chassis with a 4mm-thick, metal plate and low centre of gravity for stable playback. It also comes with an original 5mm-thick rubber mat, which suppresses external vibration while firmly gripping the record.

Better tracking

This turntable comes with a low-mass straight tone arm and anti-skating dial for accurate tracking of the record. The tone arm is highly sensitive and resistant to resonance, while the dial applies a small counter force to make sure that the rotating disc doesn’t distort the sound balance.

The first Debut turntable, introduced in the late 1990s, was a revolution for the hi-fi industry. For the first time after the arrival of Compact Disc and the assumed demise of vinyl records, an analogue product re-emerged in the "mass market” – something all music lovers could afford.

The new DEBUT Carbon DC has been designed to set new standards in this category for the coming decade – perfectly timed as analogue today is again a respected source, while the demand for good turntables is growing again!

The most obvious improvement is the inclusion of a CARBON TUBE for the tonearm, which increases stiffness and decreases unwanted resonance.

This material normally is extensively used in high-end tonearms, but – because of cost reasons – was never used in products at lower price levels. Together with other improvements like an increase in platter size and weight to realize even smoother rotation, the overall sound quality is greatly improved. The approved belt drive design offers low noise AC motor with effective motor decoupling (utilising TPE-damping) and ultra precision frequency DC-driven AC generator (like Speed Box) for ultimate speed stability without unwanted vibration.

The DEBUT CARBON DC will be offered in high-gloss black or shiny red, green, blue, yellow, silver or white as no-added-cost option.

Specifications:

  •  8,6” carbon tonearm

  •  Increased platter size with more weight

Pro-Ject has decided to go after the cheap plastic turntable market with an high quality alternative that comes complete with an Ortofon cartridge. The new Elemental table is a real "plug'n'play" all the way. No adjustment of counterweight and antiskating is needed, because both are pre-adjusted. This new straight ultra low mass tonearm is optimised for Ortofon OM cartridge series. All the buyer needs to do is remove it from the box, remove bearing guard, locate the belt around the platter, remove stylus guard and plug it in.

The only plastic here is the stylus guard. The hidden secret to the new table's sonic success, is a central gravity mass point, made from artificial stone and placed directly underneath the platter bearing. It is capable to fully absorb unwanted rumble and motor vibration. This turntable appears to be pure simplicity itself, while maintaining high quality audio standards.

A quiet-running synchronous motor with silicone belt is driving a low-resonance platter made from MDF. A new motor control with DC power supply minimzes unwanted vibration effectively. The main platter bearing consists of stainless steelspindle and bronze bushing with Teflon bottom to seccure low friction.

The main chassis is made from lightweight, but very stiff particle board. Essential II utilises a straight 8,6" aluminium tonearm design made from a single piece of aluminium with sapphire bearings, which offers a far better „plug & play" solution, than itʽs predecessor. Special feet effectively decouples the turntable from the surface.
