This provides a hefty 135 watts per channel, making the amp suitable for use in larger rooms and with pretty much any type of speaker. Pioneer\'s Class D3 amps also use short, direct signal paths. By eliminating filters, feedback loops and current limiters the sound quality is both purer and more dynamic.
Reflex Optimizer
Dolby Atmos and DTS:X sound great but, with upward firing speakers, there can be phasing issues that make the sound disjointed. Pioneer\'s new Reflex Optimizer solves this problem by aligning the phase of direct and indirect firing speakers, matching their basic tone and optimizing the upward-oriented frequencies. The receiver uses AKM 32-bit D/A converters for decoding audio from a variety of lossless file types, including ALAC, FLAC, and WAV at up to 24-bit / 196 kHz, along with compatibility for 2.8/5.6 MHz DSD files, which is the audio coding format of SACD. You can play them from memory devices or network sources. The AVR-X1600H also supports other file types such as MP3 and WMA.
