RCF S 8018 II – Passive Subwoofer 18″, 1500W

The S8018 II high-efficiency subwoofer is the ideal low-frequency extension to complement RCF installed systems.

The low-frequency transducer is a hypervented vented, high excursion RCF Precision 18” woofer with a 4” inside/outside voice coil to minimize power compression and extend the life of the product.
Using bass-reflex loading the subwoofer design ensures an efficient acoustic response down to 30 Hz. The Baltic birch plywood enclosure is painted with black, heavy duty, textured epoxy. The front is protected by a strong powder coated metal grille. The cabinet features two Neutrik Speakon™ connectors in a recessed input plate. A M20 pole mount adaptor is provided on the top of the cabinet, integrated hand carry points on the cabinet sides.

The titanium diaphragm compression driver is mated to a 90 degree x 40 degree custom-designed horn. Internal electronics feature an over-built crossover network and overload protection. Connections are dual Neutrik Speakon and 1/4" jacks. The Sub 1.18 is the ideal bass extension for the Corus C 12.2 or C 15.2 full-range cabinets.

In the low frequency range between 38 Hz and 250 Hz a Electro-Voice EVS-18S woofer in direct-radiator bass-reflex design produce an max. SPL of 130 dB.

Thanks to their low-pass filter, the Sub 1.18 can be operated simply in parallel mode to existing full-range cabinets. Also recommended, naturally, is the combination with the DSP 260 or DSP 600 and power amplifiers from the SL or LX series for the creation of active two-way systems.

The Sub 1.18 is prepaired for the optionally available DC-WK-C18 wheel kit
