ContentThe cardioid e 905 can handle very high sound pressure levels and has an excellent transient response. It is suitable for a wide range of instruments and an perfect choice for snare drums. Features Impressive and full sound Very fast attack Short microphone body to facilitate optimal positioning by drums Integral stand mount Hum compensating coil Sturdy reinforced aluminium body Delivery Includes e 905 microphone Pouch User manual Technical Data Pick-up pattern  cardioid Frequency response  40...18000 Hz Sensitivity in free field, no load (1kHz)  2,6 mV/Pa Nominal impedance  350 Ohm Min. terminating impedance  1000 Ohm Dimensions  116 x 41 mm Weight  210 gOptimized for low-frequency bass punch/high-power SPL handling. Designed for kick drum. The Shure BETA®52A is a high output dynamic microphone with a tailored frequency response designed specifically for kick drums and other bass instruments. It provides superb attack and "punch“, and delivers studio quality sound even at extremely high sound pressure levels. The Beta 52A features a modified supercardioid pattern throughout its frequency range to insure high gain-before-feedback and excellent rejection of unwanted sound. A built in dynamic locking stand adapter with an integral XLR connector simplifies installation, particularly if the microphone is to be placed inside a kick drum. The stand adapter keeps the microphone position fixed and resists slipping, even when subjected to sharp blows and strong vibrations. A hardened steel mesh grille protects the Beta 52A from the abuse and wear associated with touring. Features
  • Frequency response shaped specifically for kick drums and bass instruments
  • Built–in dynamic locking stand adapter with integral XLR connector simplifies setup, especially inside a kick drum
  • Studio quality performance, even at extremely high sound pressure levels
  • Supercardioid pattern for high gain before feedback and superior rejection of unwanted noise
  • Hardened steel mesh grille that resists wear and abuse
  • Advanced pneumatic shock mount system that minimizes transmission of mechanical noise and vibration
  • Neodymium magnet for high signal–to–noise ratio output
  • Low sensitivity to varying load impedance
  • Legendary Shure quality and reliability
Type Dynamic (moving coil)
Frequency Response 20 to 10,000 Hz
Polar Pattern Supercardioid, rotationally symmetrical about microphone axis
Output Level Open Circuit Voltage: -64 dBV/Pa* (0.6 mV), *1 Pa = 94 dB SPL

The D 40 with its solid all-metal body will stand up to the hardships of night-after-night onstage use "with a smile“.
The Varimotion diaphragm deep-drawing process allows the diaphragm itself to be fine-tuned with no need for tuning resonators, leading to a quantum leap in audio performance.
The transducer is protected by a sturdy wire-mesh cap and takes extremely high sound pressure levels with ease.
An integrated stand adapter and standard H 440 mounting bracket for snare drums, tom-toms, etc. make the D 40 a highly versatile tool for use on drums, percussions, wind instruments, and guitar amps.

The Shure KSM141 is an end-addressed condenser microphone with mechanically switching dual polar patterns (cardioid and omnidirectional). Designed for studio use, yet rugged enough for live applications, the KSM141 can withstand extremely high sound pressure levels (SPL). Its low self-noise and extended frequency response make it ideal for recording musical instruments. Features
  • A mechanical polar pattern switch for highly consistent cardioid and true omnidirectional polar patterns. Provides flexibility in a wide variety of recording applications
  • Ultra-thin, 2.5 micron, 24 karat gold-layered, low mass Mylar? diaphragm for superior transient response
  • Class A, discrete, transformerless preamplifier for transparency, extremely fast transient response, no crossover distortion, and minimal harmonic and intermodulation distortion
  • Premium electronic components, including gold-plated internal and external connectors
  • Subsonic filter eliminates low frequency rumble (less than 17 Hz) caused by mechanical vibration
  • Three-position switchable pad (0 dB, 15 dB, and 25 dB) for handling extremely high sound pressure levels (SPLs)
  • Three-position switchable pad (0 dB, 15 dB, and 25 dB) for handling extremely high sound pressure levels (SPLs)
  • Three-position switchable low-frequency filter to reduce background noise and counteract proximity effect
Performance Characteristics
  • Extended frequency response
  • Low self noise
  • Exceptional reproduction of low-frequency sounds
  • Can withstand high sound pressure levels (SPL)
  • High output level
  • No crossover distortion
  • Uniform polar response
  • Superior common mode rejection and suppression of radio frequency interference
APPLICATIONS Some typical applications for the KSM141 are listed below. Microphone use, however, is a matter of personal taste. The KSM141 may be used for a variety of applications other than those listed.
  • Acoustic instruments -- such as piano, guitar, drums, percussion, strings
  • Wind instruments -- brass and woodwind
  • Low frequency instruments -- such as double bass, electric bass, kick drum
  • Overhead miking -- drums or percussion
  • Ensembles -- choral or orchestral
  • Room ambiance pick-up -- guitar amplifier or drums
Both the acoustic environment and microphone placement strongly affect the sound obtained from miking a source. You may need to experiment with microphone placement and room treatments to achieve the best overall sound for each application. Suggested Applications Acoustic Guitar Acoustic Bass Cymbals Brass/Woodwinds Orchestra Ensemble Vocals Piano Strings Room Ambience Live Recording
Excellent for acoustic and electric instruments as well as for vocals, the extremely versatile Beta 57A dynamic microphone provides optimal warmth and presence. The Beta 57A maintains a true supercardioid pattern throughout its frequency range. This insures high gain before feedback, maximum isolation from other sound sources, and minimum off-axis tone coloration. A completely new grille design lets you take better advantage of proximity effect. The Beta 57A is an exceptionally versatile microphone. Typical applications include drums, guitar amplifiers, brass, woodwinds and vocals.
  • Tailored frequency response provides drums, guitars, vocals, and horns with studio quality sound
  • Uniform supercardioid pattern for high gain-before-feedback and superior rejection of off-axis sound
  • Hardened steel mesh grille that facilitates use of proximity effect and resists wear and abuse
  • Neodymium magnet for high signal-to-noise ratio output
  • Advanced pneumatic shock mount system that minimizes transmission of mechanical noise and vibration
