In a world full of cheap compact mixers, Soundcraft has achieved
something exceptional with the Spirit M Series. Equally suited to
recording and live sound applications, the Spirit M Series delivers
a great-sounding, reliable performance, session after session, mix
after mix. A mixer for life.
Even before you plug in a Soundcraft Spirit M Series mixer you know
it?s something very special. The brushed steel side panels aren?t just
beautiful, they can withstand a weight of 60kg (132 lbs) and are designed
to leave the mixer with no sharp edges. Removing these panels is simple,
revealing a robust, integral rack mounting system equipping the M Series
instantly for a life on the road.

The Spirit M Series is also exceptionally easy to use. The control surface
will be immediately familiar to anyone who has used a mixer before and will
quickly become second nature even to a novice. All inputs, EQ, auxes, panning
and level controls are presented clearly, saving you time when creating your mixes
and providing you with more time to spend on achieving the best sound. High quality
100mm faders combine with signal and peak LEDs on every channel and high resolution
output metering places the operator in total control. You?ll find no unsightly screw heads
anywhere on the M Series? front panel to get in the way of your mixing, while a durable,
multi-coat paint finish, ensures that a Spirit M Series console always looks as good as it sounds.

From raw component level through to cosmetic finishing, the Spirit M Series
has been built to last. Just pick one up and you?ll know what we mean. Even
the knobs are special, custom designed to our own exacting requirements.
We?ve ensured there is plenty of spacing between the controls, enabling you
to comfortably achieve total control of your mix. Even the headphone jack is
located at the bottom right hand corner of the mixer so a trailing cable will never
get in your way. Just another example of the attention to detail which makes the
Soundcraft Spirit M Series the standard against which other compact mixing consoles must now be judged.

The Soundcraft Spirit M Series is available in 4, 8 or 12 mono input channel frame
sizes. All three mixers include four stereo inputs and four stereo returns, with all
other features and specifications identical.

M4 – 4 mono inputs, 4 stereo inputs, 4 stereo returns

The Soundcraft GB-2 (2-bus) 24 Channel Console is designed for installed sound and A/V applications that donʼt require all the sophisticated functionality of the GB4 and GB8.

However the Soundcraft GB-2 24 Channel Console is a genuine GB Series console in every respect, with sound quality assured by GB30 Mic Pre and Equaliser designs, and reliability by the same rugged build quality that has made the GB4 and GB8 so dependable in demanding professional applications.

Along with six Aux busses and an integral 6 x 2 matrix, four subgroups are provided as two stereo pairs, with a unique facility for adjusting the width of the stereo signal across the stereo mix. The channel pan settings are retained on the group outputs, while the degree of stereo separation to the mix bus is independently adjustable from full stereo through to mono.

The GB2 also features two stereo input channels, with separate mic and line inputs. In normal use, the mic inputs are routed to the local channel and the line inputs act as a stereo return to the mix bus. Selecting the line input to the local channel overrides the mic inputs.

The Soundcraft GB-2 (2-bus) 24 Channel Console Main Features Include:

  • 24 channel frame size
  • 12 busses
  • 2 full feature stereo channels
  • 2 stereo returns (on stereo channels)
  • 6 Aux sends
  • 4 sub groups (paired)
  • 6x2 output matrix
  • GB30 mic preamp and precision equalisation circuitry
  • Direct outputs on every channel
  • Talkback facility
  • 100mm faders
  • Switchable 48V phantom powering on every channel
  • 100Hz high pass filter
  • 12-segment LED metering
  • Record output
  • Width: 1013mm (39.88“)
  • Weight: 25kg (55.1lbs)

The Soundcraft GB-2 (2-bus) 32 Channel Console is designed for installed sound and A/V applications that donʼt require all the sophisticated functionality of the GB4 and GB8.

The highly-acclaimed and successful Soundcraft GB Series has gained another new member, the Soundcraft GB2R. Available in two variants, the GB2R offers either 16 mono inputs to a stereo mix output, or a 12.2 version with 12 mono inputs, two full-feature stereo inputs and 2 group busses, each model having 6 auxiliary sends.

As always with Soundcraft consoles, emphasis has been placed on operational simplicity, clear and intuitive layout and the highest possible audio performance. The Soundcraft GB2R inherits both the GB30 Mic preamplifier and GB30 Equaliser designs from the GB4 and GB8.

For ease of installation, the connector section is contained in a rotatable pod, allowing cable access from the top of the mixer if sat on a table-top, or from the rear when mounted in a 19 inch rack.

On the stereo inputs on the 12.2 model, connectors are provided for both Mic and Line inputs. With Mic signals routed to the local channel, the Line inputs are available as stereo returns to the main mix bus. Two stereo returns and a 2-track (for example CD replay) input are provided, which means that the GB2R-12.2 model can offer up to 26 inputs to mix in a mixer just 19" (485mm) wide.

Every input has a pre/post switchable direct output for recording or effects sends, while an internal universal voltage PSU avoids external power supply connections.

The whole GB Series carries the high quality hallmark with which Soundcraft is synonymous, with engineering and design as you'd expect from this high-end manufacturer. Careful attention has been given to the mechanical construction, to ensure reliability and ruggedness under strenuous conditions, with all input modules being constructed with individual vertically-mounted pcb's, fitted to the steel chassis front panel with individually-nutted potentiometers.
